Stars: Vincent Price (1911) as Prospero Hazel Court as Juliana Jane Asher as Francesca David Weston as Gino Nigel Green as Ludovico Plot: Death and debauchery reign in the castle of Prince Prospero (Vincent Price), and when it reigns...it pours! Prospero has only one excuse for his diabolical deeds - the devil made him do it! But when a mysterious, uninvited guest crashes his pad during a masquerade ball, there'll be hell to pay as the party atmosphere turns into a danse macabre! Extras:
My Thoughts: This is one of Vincent Price's films I never seen before. I must say I enjoyed it very much. The story line easily kept my attention through out the film... and I found the visuals to be done very well. The vibrant colors they used seem to add to the story. And I found the entire cast to be great. This is one I would really like to add to my own collection. Rating: Horror/Halloween Challenge Films: 25/52 (From Horror/Halloween 2016 Challenge on October 12th, 2016) The King's Speech, a review by AntaresThe King's Speech (2010) 4/5 - A very good film with two very outstanding performances by Colin Firth & Geoffrey Rush. The more I see of Rush's work the more appreciation I have for his skills. He's starting to remind me of Claude Rains, one of the greatest character actors of the Golden Age of Hollywood, and who would always be the scene stealer when he was onscreen. Putting the great performances aside, when the film was finished, I felt that maybe while it was a good film, I didn't feel it was worthy of the Oscar for Best Picture. John is beginning taking things into his hands, as that's his future anyway, with things going slightly wrong as to build tension and drama (I don't count that as a spoiler)... The way the machines make sure Judgement Day happens (and in their favor) is set up in a bigger scope. "You can go... if you can get past her."
