Rocky IV, a review by TomTitle: Rocky IV Year: 1985 Director: Sylvester Stallone Rating: PG Length: 98 Min. Video: Anamorphic Widescreen 1.85 Audio: English: Dolby Digital 5.1, English: DTS 5.1 Subtitles: English, Hindi Stars: Stu Nathan Sylvester Stallone Talia Shire Burt Young Carl Weathers Plot: East meets West when Rocky takes on a vicious Soviet fighter who literally killed his last opponent! Sylvester Stallone writes, directs and stars in this war between nations in which the only battle is fought in a boxing ring. Rocky (Stallone) proudly holds the world heavyweight championship, but a new challenger has stepped forward: Drago (Dolph Lundgren), a six-foot six-inch, 240-pound fighter who has the backing of the Soviet Union. This time, Rocky's training regimen takes him to icy Siberia, where he prepares for a globally-televised match in the heart of Moscow. But nothing can truly prepare him for what he's about to face - a powerfully charged fight to the finish in which he must defend not only himself, but also the honour of his country! Extras: Scene Access My Thoughts: Now it's getting ridiculous. It begins with this stupid robot Rocky has bought. And the first fight with Drago, I felt like Drago did: "WTF is going on? Are the Americans crazy? Stupid Las Vegas "America is great" show".And of course in American sports, world equal US. See the newspaper article they were showing "Russians invade US sports". Is the heavy-weight champion of the world restricted to the US? And the end: Rocky wins over the all-Russion crowd? Huh?! And morale hitten over our heads with the hammer: "When I can change and you can change, everybody can change!" Even the fight was not exciting. In the other movies, I was never 100% sure, if Rocky was actually going to win. But in this one I knew from the beginning, that they would not let Rocky loose against the Russian. I must admit, I was on He-Mans side Rating: (From Tom's Random Reviews on March 8th, 2009) The Good Witch's Wedding , a review by addicted2dvdTitle: The Good Witch's Wedding Year: 2010 Director: Craig Pryce Rating: NR Length: 84 Min. Video: Full Frame 1.33:1 Audio: English: Dolby Digital: 2-Channel Stereo Subtitles: N/A Stars: Catherine Bell Chris Potter Catherine Disher Peter MacNeill Matthew Knight Elizabeth Lennie Plot: Cassie Nightingale (Catherine Bell) has settled comfortably in Middleton with a successful boutique and is now engaged to Police Chief Russell (Chris Potter). But with only two short weeks till Christmas, Jake is desperate to find the perfect gift. With no wedding date set, Jake wants to give Cassie a family for Christmas this year and suggests they get married on Christmas Eve. But, as usual, things don't always happen as planned and Cassie must use a bit of magic to give her new family that special Christmas. Extras: Scene Access My Thoughts: Once again this has not yet been released officially on DVD. It is one that I made off my own recording. It is the third movie in the series. The latest movie... though I do hear they are making another. While I still enjoyed this one very much. It wasn't quite as good as the previous two. Almost but not quite. It is a good mixture between a wedding and Christmas storyline. After watching this again now... I can't wait for any future movies they decide to bring out. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From The Movies From Within My Lifetime on May 22nd, 2011) Pete's Pilots, a review by addicted2dvdThe Addams Family They're creepy and they're kooky, mysterious and spooky, and now for the first time, they're on DVD! The Addams Family, America's first family of ghastly giddiness, are here in all of their ghoulish glory in the original TV series based on the delightfully demented imagination of Charles Addams. Tarantulas, torture racks, and tombstones have never been so much fun! Join Gomez, Morticia, Uncle Fester, Lurch, Cousin Itt, and the rest of the gang for a fiendishly funny and altogether ooky experience. It's time to pay a call on...The Addams Family! The Addams Family Goes To School When Gomez and Morticia keep Wednesday and Pugsley home from school, the truant officer pays a visit with predictably ghastly results. My Thoughts: I always enjoyed this classic sitcom. Sure the characters are weird but of course they are meant to be. In this one the kids has their first day at school. Where they get upset over Grimm's Fairy Tales. So The Addams Family tries to rid the school of these fairy tales where there is cruelty to animals (Dragons slayed) and Nice old ladies pushed into ovens (Hansel & Gretal).
