The Santa Clause, a review by addicted2dvd

December 8th

The Santa Clause
Superstar comedian and Golden Globe winner* Tim Allen shines bright in Disney's magical, larger-than-life hit comedy that 'People Magazine' dubbed "the most playfully amusing, inventive cinematic...fable in several decades

Rooftop clatter leads to merry adventure after Santa falls down on the job, and Scott Calvin's son Charlie convinces dad to try on the red suit. Eight reindeer pilot the pair to the North Pole, where they soon discover that by donning the famous suit, dad must now accept all of Santa's duties! Over the next year, a surprised, not-so-jolly Scott grows a Santa-sized tummy and beard, causing friends, family and business associates to wonder if he's lost his marbles. All except Charlie, who thinks his dad is perfectly suited for his new job!

Each well-kept secret of the North Pole is revealed in Disney's hilarious and heartwarming tale that's "destined to become a holiday classic" ('New York Post'). Now you can unwrap all the magic of the holidays any day of the year!

My Thoughts:
I have to admit... This year I have had a hard time getting into the Christmas spirit... so much so that I was wondering if I would at all. So I had to pull out "The Santa Clause"... this is the movie that never fails when I feel this way for some reason. I have just always found this movie to be so much fun and for some reason always brings out the Christmas Spirit in me. I think Tim Allen makes the perfect Santa in this movie. Now I am off to watch the second movie.

Plot:
OWEN WILSON, KATE HUDSON and MATT DILLON deliver non-stop laughs and fun in 'You, Me and Dupree'. Newlyweds Carl and Molly (Dillon and Hudson) are just beginning their life together when Carl's oldest friend, the down-and-out bachelor Randy Dupree (Wilson), crashes on the couch. One comic mishap follows another, and soon it becomes obvious that two's company, but Dupree's a crowd. You'll laugh 'til it hurts with this hilarious, outrageous comedy!

Extras:
Commentary
Deleted Scenes
Featurettes
Outtakes
Scene Access

My Thoughts:
Boring. I only bought this movie, because it was bundled with "I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry".
This movie didn't have any new ideas and was not even remotely funny.
And for a simple comedy much too long.

Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman Marathon, a review by addicted2dvd

15. I NOW PRONOUNCE YOU...
Lois and Clark get married! Just a minute, Clark. Are you sure your beautiful bride really is Lois?

My Thoughts:
This is the start of the clones/frogs storyline. Which is one of the storylines I never cared for too much. I know they were just trying to throw more problems in front of Lois and Clark's wedding... but I just found this storyline silly. Though I did like Brad Garret as Lois and Clark's wannabe comedian priest.

My Rating:
Out of a Possible 5

16. DOUBLE JEOPARDY
Send in the clones. While LEX LUTHOR woos the real Lois, Clark spends his wedding night with her clone.

My Thoughts:
Part 2 of the above episode. And added to the clone storyline we get the amnesia storyline. Which I also never cared much for. All these never ending problems is the reason this season is my least favorite of the series.

My Rating:
Out of a Possible 5
