A Vampire's Tale, a review by Jimmy

Title : A Vampire's Tale (2004)

Overview
A modern day vampire struggles to find out who he is.

My Impression
First comment does someone is in charge of the quality control at Mills Creek? I hope not, since their overview for this film had nothing to do with it. The real story is : A man had seen his girlfriend killed by a vampire, since than he wants to avenge her by killing the vampire responsible. For this he will recruit a woman recently attack by the same vampire.

Now that this is corrected here we go with the review... Not really original, short in action and the acting is ok without being great. One big problem, at least for me, is the quality of the color in the film itself. The color are all wash out and bland, maybe this is a director choice (more probably the quality of the film stock used was low) but this is boring to watch.

Really nothing special here

Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, a review by addicted2dvd

Elvira, Mistress of the Dark

My Thoughts:
I couldn't end my Comedy-Horror marathon without getting myself a taste of Elvira! OK... what do you get out of an Elvira movie? When you think of Elvira you think cheap, cheesy and a slutty... so I ask you... what more do you need then that? This is of course nothing more then cheap, leave your brain at the door entertainment. Something to get lost in for an hour and a half. When you go into an Elvira movie the last thing you expect to find is an Oscar winner. So I think if you go into this movie expecting nothing more then cheap, cheesy and slutty you will most likely enjoy yourself.  There is a few laugh in this one... but little more then that. Unless you include bad acting and silly situations... but that is all a part of what makes Elvira.

My Rating:
Out of a Possible 5

"Big Bang Theory" Marathon, a review by addicted2dvd

4. The Luminous Fish Effect
Fish nightlights. Hand-loomed ponchos. A visit from Mom. Things get freaky when Sheldon gets fired.

My Thoughts:

This was a good episode.. though not what I would call great.I liked that another Roseanne alumni was in this episode. This time it was Laurie Metcalf (Aunt Jackie) playing Sheldon's mother. Brittany really liked the luminous fish.

5. The Hamburger Postulate
Leonard's relationship with co-worker Leslie takes an unexpected turn, causing Sheldon to ponder the meaning of a tie on the doorknob.

My Thoughts:
This is a fun episode... and the second time Sara Gilbert (Darlene on Roseanne) has guest starred in an episode. Brittany worried me a little on this one. She laughed at Sheldon calling Leonard in the middle of sex to let him know message received. and stated how wrong that was. My 12yr. old daughter already knows that is uncalled for... what a proud moment for a father... not! :-p

6. The Middle Earth Paradigm
Leonard discovers "hobbit" is the wrong costume to wear to Penny's Halloween party when her ex-boyfriend shows up. Also, Sheldon is not a zebra.

My Thoughts:
This is a really fun episode... one of my favorites. Of course that may have something to do with it being a Halloween episode... I really do love Halloween episodes of my favorite shows. I am sure I will be watching this one again for my Horror/Halloween Marathon. Penny's ex boyfriend (from Pilot episode) is back for this one. And of course once again Leonard and Sheldon has a confrontation with him.
