My Thoughts:

Thought I would check out Edge Of Darkness which is Mel Gibson's latest and it has been a long time coming. Mel is violent, profane, abusive, says exactly what's on his mind.... all that and the movie hasn't even started!

Jokes aside, in spite of all his troubles in the tabloids, Mel can still act and very much commands presence on screen. He is starting to show the wear and tear of life with stark, craggy features that suited him perfectly for this role as a grieving father who is investigating the murder of his daughter in a nothing to lose fashion.

This was riveting and despite how long Gibson had been out of the game he can still cut the mustard in action/thriller roles. Several WOW moments and constant thrills that hurtle you towards a traumatic ending make this a great watch. Ray Winstone was also great as the dapper 'fixer' whose own ironic dilemma makes his end move so poetic.

Gibson's still got it. I'd love to see more movies out of him. Even more so I'd like to see some more directorial efforts from him. C'mon Mel... get your shit together...  :drunk:

Saw IV, a review by addicted2dvd

Title: Saw IV: Unrated Director's Cut
Movie Count: 46
TV Ep Count: 8
Time Started: 11am
Plot:
When SWAT Commander Rigg is abducted and thrust into a game, the last officer untouched by Jigsaw has but ninety minutes to overcome a series of demented traps and save an old friend...or face the deadly consequences.

My Thoughts:
This is the first time I ever watched this movie. One I picked up because I liked all the previous movies in the series... and because I found it cheap on sale (the best way to buy movies!). Going into this one... I admit I had my hopes pretty high which is something I try my hardest not to do.Luckily this time it didn't hurt anything... as I enjoyed this movie a lot.. almost as much... if not as much as the ones before it. Of course I personally go into these movies looking for no more then a gore-fest. But they are more then that... I also find the stories themselves interesting.

Title: The Big Bang Theory: Season Two
Year: 2008
Director:
Rating: 15
Length: 536 Min.
Video: Anamorphic Widescreen 1.78
Audio: English: Dolby Digital Surround, Spanish: Dolby Digital Surround, French: Dolby Digital Surround
Subtitles: Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, Norwegian, Spanish, Swedish

Plot:
The science of funny is back! At work, physicist Leonard and Sheldon and their geek pals conquer the cosmos. At home, real life - from dating to driving - conquers them. This season, Leonard gets a girl. So does Sheldon. (Sheldon?!) Howard drives the Mars Rover into a ditch. Raj woos a terminator. Gorgeous girl-next-door Penny falls under the spell of Age of Conan. And super-smart, confident Leslie Winkler reduces mere men to spineless jellyfish. Twenty-two laugh-filled episodes from series creators Chuck Lorre (Two and a Half Men) and Bill Prady (Gilmore Girls) and a talented cast with astronomical comedy IQs shows why Big Bang is such a big hit.

Extras:
Featurettes
Outtakes

My Thoughts:
I love this series. The funniest series in a long time. I especially love the interactions between Sheldon and Penny. I still believe, that if the series lasts long enough, these two should finally end up together.
