Breakin All the Rules, a review by addicted2comics

Breakin All the Rules

The Plot:My Thoughts:

I looked this up for the picture, and was shocked to see the movie was only given a 5.3 out of 10 on IMDB. Needless to say, I came in not expecting much.....

I have to admit, this is really funny! Of course, that would depend on what type of humor you like, but, well, I'll say this: when a pug gets drunk its time to pause for a laugh-fest, ok?

I really had a hard time getting myself to watch this, but this is definitely what I want in a romantic comedy!

My Rating
Out of 5

The Preacher's Wife, a review by Rich

8/12

preacher's wife

In this updating of 1947's "The Bishop's Wife," a Baptist preacher unknowingly pays too much attention to his congregation, and not enough to his dedicated wife and son. Enter Dudley, a flirtatious, sharp-dressed angel, to help the couple build a new church and, not incidentally, reignite their marriage. Academy Award Nominations: Best Original Musical or Comedy Score.

A total blind buy but bought for the cast list, it was surprisingly good and a perfect uplifting xmas story. My preconception was that it would be about an illicit affair, and it was headed that way at the beginning, but with a very well-written and thoughtful twist everything turns out fine.
Brilliantly produced parody on all things spiritual and with a genuinely meaningful moral undercurrent, it is definately a keeper.  ;D

Tom's Buffy and Angel Marathon, a review by Tom

12. A New Man (2000-01-25)
Writer: Jane Espenson (Writer)
Director: Michael Gershman
Cast: Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy Summers), Nicholas Brendon (Xander Harris), Alyson Hannigan (Willow Rosenberg), Seth Green (Oz), Anthony Stewart Head (Giles), Robin Sachs (Ethan Rayne), Amber Benson (Tara), Emma Caulfield (Anya), Lindsay Crouse (Maggie Walsh), Elizabeth Penn Payne (Waitress), Michelle Ferrara (Mother)

I enjoyed this filler episode very much. Giles feeling sorry for himself because he is being neglected by the gang. It's also fun how Riley learns about Buffy's daily slayage quota :)
