Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, a review by TomTitle: Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country Year: 1991 Director: Nicholas Meyer Rating: FSK-12 Length: 109 Min. Video: Anamorphic Widescreen 2.00 Audio: German: Dolby Digital 5.1, English: Dolby Digital 5.1, Commentary: Dolby Digital Surround Subtitles: Arabic, Bulgarian, Commentary, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, German, Hungarian, Icelandic, Norwegian, Polish, Romanian, Swedish, Turkish Stars: William Shatner Leonard Nimoy DeForest Kelley James Doohan Walter Koenig Extras: Commentary Deleted Scenes Featurettes Photo Gallery Scene Access Trailers My Thoughts: A great farewell movie for the original crew. Maybe a little to much prejudice involved for supposedly open-minded Starfleet officers.I always liked the passing of the torch to the Next Generation crew with Kirk's final log entry: "This is the final cruise of the Starship Enterprise under my command. This ship and her history will shortly become the care of another crew. To them and their posterity will we commit our future. They will continue the voyages we have begun, and journey to all the undiscovered countries, boldly going where no man... where no one has gone before." Expecially the "where no man... where no one..." part as this reflects the opening narrations of the respective series. My Thoughts: This one is well worth the time put in to watch it. It is a good and inspirational film. A true underdog story. Rating: (From July Movie Marathon: Based on a True Story on July 10th, 2017) Smallville: The Complete First Season, a review by addicted2dvd
Stars: Tom Welling as Clark Kent Kristin Kreuk as Lana Lang Michael Rosenbaum as Lex Luthor Eric Johnson as Whitney Fordman Sam Jones III as Pete Ross Allison Mack as Chloe Sullivan My Thoughts: A couple days ago the mood hit for me to watch some Smallville again. So I pulled out the first season set. Watched the entire set in 2 days! Now does that mean I will watch the entire series again... I don't know... after all there is 10 seasons. But I did already start the second season. I must say I enjoyed revisiting the first season episodes again. The entire cast looks so young! But that is to be expected from a series that lasted so long. Chloe remains my favorite character. But they are all good. I really didn't care for the portrayal of Lex Luthor early in the series.... don't know why, just expected something different I guess. But he quickly grew on me. A very good start to an excellent series! My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From Addicted2dvd's Random TV Series Watched on July 31st, 2013) |
