Dark Ride, a review by addicted2dvdDark Ride: After Dark Horrorfest Nearly a decade after two young girls are brutally murdered, the monstrous killer, Jonah, escapes from a mental institution and returns to his familiar killing ground, the theme park attraction "Dark Ride." His unfortunate victims this time are a group of college kids on a road trip that inevitably leads them to the Dark Ride where their night of youthful fun becomes a nightmare. The killer, who is mimicking the sets within the attraction, makes sure this is a "ride" audiences will never forget. My Thoughts: This one I enjoyed quite a bit... no... it wasn't the best horror movie I ever seen... but it is far from the worst too. of course after the initial action of the set-up scene things did slow down quite a bit until the group of college students made it to the Dark Ride. But once there... things picked up pretty quickly. This one had a twist ending... that looking back was pretty obvious... but I must be off my game tonight... as I didn't see it coming at all. It is a decent DVD release... with a nice collection of extras.... but I didn't take the time to check any of them out this time around. Gotta save something for the next time I watch it... don't I? Well... I think that brings my Weekend Movie Marathon to an end... Over-all it was a good marathon... I really enjoyed most of what I watched. Always a good thing! My Thoughts: I once again really enjoyed an animated superhero film. Of course this is of no surprise to the people that know me. I have always been a big fan of anything superhero related. Though I must admit, while I did like him, Aquaman was never a huge favorite of mine. Though I do think they did this back story of him well. But I must admit where they drew all the Atlantian males with long sideburns seemed to be an odd choice. It was like they were all stuck back in the '70s. Other then that a good film with lots of action. I feel comfortable recommending it. Rating: (From Within My Lifetime Marathon on March 16th, 2015) Caroline in the City Marathon, a review by TomCaroline and the Bad Date (1996-02-15) Writer: Dottie Dartland, Bill Prady Director: Tom Cherones Cast: Lea Thompson (Caroline), Eric Lutes (Del), Malcolm Gets (Richard), Amy Pietz (Annie), Andy Lauer (Charlie), Dan Cortese (Scott), Tom La Grua (Remo), Colleen McDermott (Barbara), Fred Stoller (Mugger) Del and Caroline get back together and he pops the question. Caroline and the Proposal (1996-02-22) Writer: Fred Barron, Marco Pennette, Ian Praiser Director: James Burrows Cast: Lea Thompson (Caroline), Eric Lutes (Del), Malcolm Gets (Richard), Amy Pietz (Annie), Sharon Lawrence (Maddie), Tom La Grua (Remo), Cathy Ladman (Woman in Elevator), Joe Ochman (Mailman) First appearance of sarcastic elevator lady I didn't even remember that Caroline and Richard were so close to getting together this early in the series. But of course circumstances and little courage put a stop to it. Caroline accepts Del's marriage proposal instead. This finishs off the second disc. One disc to go.
