Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, a review by addicted2dvdTitle: Star Trek III: The Search for Spock Year: 1984 Director: Leonard Nimoy Rating: PG Length: 105 Min. Video: Anamorphic Widescreen 2.35:1 Audio: English: Dolby Digital: Dolby Surround, English: Dolby Digital: 5.1, French: Dolby Digital: Dolby Surround Subtitles: English Stars: William Shatner Leonard Nimoy DeForest Kelley James Doohan Walter Koenig George Takei Plot:Extras: Scene Access Feature Trailers Closed Captioned My Thoughts: I went in not expecting much from this one... as I was told the odd numbers were not as good as the even number movies. Maybe not expecting much helped... but I enjoyed this movie. I thought it was a good continuation of The Wrath of Khan. One thing I was sorry to see was the replacement of Kristie Alley as Saavik. At least they didn't replace the actress again for The Voyage Home. I did find it a little weird that Christopher Lloyd played a Klingon in this movie. Not that he wasn't fine in it... it was just strange to hear his familiar voice for a Klingon. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From Weekend Movie Marathon: The Final Frontier on August 13th, 2010) WALL•E, a review by RossRoy

The Simpsons 1.01 Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire (1989-12-17) Writer: Mimi Pond (Writer) Director: David Silverman Cast: Dan Castellaneta (Homer/Grampa/Barney), Julie Kavner (Marge/Patty/Selma/Various (voice)), Nancy Cartwright (Bart/Nelson/Todd/Various (voice)), Yeardley Smith (Lisa/Various (voice)), Harry Shearer (Mr. Burns/Smithers/Flanders/Skinner/Otto), Hank Azaria (Apu/Moe/Wiggum/Carl/Dr. Nick), Jo Ann Harris (Various (voice)), Pamela Hayden (Milhouse/Various (voice)) I have followed the first few years of the Simpsons, but stopped at some point. Not because I thought it was getting bad, but somehow I lost interest. Probably it just got too many episodes and now it is hard to catch up again. I enjoyed this first episode. The animation is not quite as bad as I expected it. It changed a lot though in later seasons. Rating: (From Tom's TV Pilots marathon on July 4th, 2012) |
