Jennifer Garner (Daredevil, TV's "Alias") and Mark Ruffalo (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) star in this hilarious flash-forward romance about a pre-teen girl who goes from geek to glamorous. With the help of some magic wishing dust, 13 year-old Jenna Rink (Garner) becomes 30 and gorgeous overnight, with everything she ever wanted, except for her best friend Matt (Ruffalo). Now, this grown woman must create some magic of her own to help the little girl inside find the true love she left behind.

My Thoughts:
Watching this one today for Jennifer Garner of Alias fame and Kathy Baker who played Jill Brock (the mother) in Picket Fences. This is a fun movie. Like in the movie Big we have a character that makes a wish to be grown up. Jennifer Garner does a great job playing a teen girl trapped in a grown woman's body. some of the expressions on her face... especially in the beginning where she don't know what is going on... is completely hilarious.

My Rating:
Out of a Possible 5

NOTE TO JIMMY: There is already a review up for this movie... but this one is more detailed so you may want to replace it with this one.

I, Robot, a review by Rich

Title: I, Robot

Runtime:110
Certificate:15
Year:2004
Genres:Science-Fiction, Suspense/Thriller, Action

Plot:In 2035 A.D., robots are programmed to live in harmony with humans and are part of every day life.  When a brilliant scientist at the U.S. Robotics Corporation is found dead, Chicago Detective Del Spooner (Will Smith) is called in to investigate.  Aided by robot psychologist Dr. Susan Calvin (Bridget Moynahan), Detective Spooner uncovers the possibility that a robot may be the primary suspect in the case.  But as Spooner gets closer to the truth, he gets caught up in a race for his life.  With time running out, a deeper threat emerges that challenges the very existence of mankind.

My Review:
Well-known film, picked at random in company.
There is plenty of corn in this movie, but if you can accept the tongue-in-cheek script the special effects, innovative ideas and fluid pace make this a very enjoyable viewing.
This may not be as intense as Blade Runner or explore the humanisation of robots as much as AI, but it delivers thrills and action the whole way through, with some very memorable moments such as the 1000 (1001) robots in the warehouse, the tunnel scene, and for me the facial expressions of Sonny which are amazing.
A blast with Smith in his element and Moynahan keeping good company, I expect everyone has like me seen this movie more than once - if you haven't you won't be disappointed.

Angel Marathon, a review by addicted2dvd

Angel: Season 3

20. A New World
Original Air Date: 5/6/2002
As Angel tries to track down Connor in the streets of L.A., Lilah approaches a despondent Wesley with an offer from Wolfram and Hart.

Guest Stars:
Vincent Kartheiser
Stephanie Romanov
Mark Lutz
Erika Thormahlen

My Thoughts:
While still a good episode... I didn't find this one quite as good as the previous several. While interesting... and I enjoyed the search for Connor and such. I didn't care much for the side storyline. Where Connor meets up with a junkie. And while I understand why it had to be drawn out some... I will be glad to see Wesley back in with the group. But that may take a while yet.
