Up!, a review by JimmyMOVIE / DVD INFO: Title: Up! (1976) Genre: Comedy Director: Russ Meyer Rating: 18 (British dvd) Length: 1h21 Video: Full Frame Audio: English Subtitles: None Stars: Raven De La Croix Robert McLane Janet Wood Monty Bane Bob Schott Plot: Russ Meyer's "tried and true" formula is on target again...outrageously buxom women and dumb, muscular men laying their sexually aggressive prowess on the line. Yes, it's all here in Russ Meyer's Up! Two timers, cops, robbers, joints, and mind-boggling bra-busting women. Sweet L'il Alice...Fast, foxy, and fertile. The Headperson (Candy Samples, aka Mary Gavin)...awesome abundance, Pocahontas...cantilevered, protuberant, the chesty young thing...conical, unrestrained, limehouse...pneumatic bliss - oriental style. The Greek chorus (Kitten Natividad)...the biggest and the best, and the "smothering" Margo Winchester...assault with a deadly bosom. Plus the usual assortment of good-lookin', virile, awesomely hung, klutzy men. My Thoughts: Time for a thriller, but it's sure ain't Hitchcock and thank god (not that I don't like his film, but it's a Russ Meyer's film). Our story starts with the murder of Adolph Schwartz by a mysterious masked killer and we will have to find who had done it.He sure looks familliar The story is quite confusing by time, in fact it took me some time to understand what this movie was about, but when a film start with a guy who look like someone we know in a dungeon dominated by 2 women and a man this isn't that evident By chance we have Kitten Natividad who came to help us to understand the focus of the story... (click to show/hide) So not long after we will encounter the principal character of our story : Margo Winchester The gorgeous Raven De La Croix (click to show/hide) After that our story move in a restaurant for quite a while and we will forget about the murder untill the end when the murderer will be revealed (but if you have guess it the first time you are way better than me). So who is the killer? (click to show/hide) (click to show/hide) (click to show/hide) (click to show/hide) (click to show/hide) or is it one of the guy? No spoiler this time Leonard Box? Homer Johnson? Paul? Rafe? Martin Borman? or Russ Meyer Himself? To resume : another fun movie ride Next time I won't post that many images and before I receive the critic : the men cast isn't hide behind spoiler tag because they aren't nude in the movie and not because I didn't want to post picture. Rating : (From The little known movie review depot on January 8th, 2010) Bolt, a review by addicted2dvdBolt Bolt tells the story a dog who plays a heroic dog in a hit TV show and has some trouble recognizing that he doesn't even have superpowers. This becomes something of a hindrance when he is accidentally shipped from Hollywood to New York City. From there he has to make his way home with the help of a manky old cat and an overweight hamster in a plastic ball. Stars: John Travolta Miley Cyrus Malcolm McDowell J.P. Manoux Diedrich Bader My Thoughts: I decided to watch this one with my daughter, Brittany today. We both enjoyed this one. It is very cute... and a fun storyline. Another one that I definitely plan on adding to my collection. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From Weekend Movie Marathon: On-Demand on September 26th, 2009) Sliders Marathon, a review by addicted2dvd8. THE KING IS BACK It looks like "The King Is Back" when Rembrandt is mistaken for a long-deceased rock legend, but an old enemy would like to see the Crying Man disappear again--permanently. My Thoughts: This one... while a decent episode... is not one I enjoy as much as most. Basically a bit too much music for my taste. My Rating: 9. LUCK OF THE DRAW Wade finds that she has money to burn when she wins the lottery in a seemingly utopian world, but she soon discovers that her silver cloud has a very dark lining. My Thoughts: This one is a good episode. I liked the storyline... even if it has been told before. As Professor Arturo said in the episode... if something seems to good to be true... then it probably is. My Rating: SEASON 2: 1. INTO THE MYSTIC With Quinn seriously injured from a gunshot wound, the Sliders search for a doctor on what appears to be the strangest Earth they've yet seen. The only one they can find is a witch doctor, who tells them about the all powerful sorcerer who is said to have the knowledge about sliding. The sliders set out upon a journey a la "The Wizard of Oz" to his castle beyond the Golden Gargoyle Gate bridge to find the sorcerer in the hopes of finding their way home. My Thoughts: The first episode of the second season isa good.. if not a bit weird episode. And the ending of this episode...you know it had to happen sooner or later. My Rating: 11. LOVE GODS In a world where germ warfare has exterminated most of the male population, Quinn, Rembrandt and Arturo discover that they've been pegged as runaway "breeders," and every nation of the world wants to capture them. My Thoughts: This one is not a bad episode... but not a favorite either. It pretty much feels like no more then a filler episode. My Rating: (From Sliders Marathon on August 14th, 2009) |
