Cyborg, a review by Rich

Cyborg

The Flesh Pirates rule the barbaric world and have no regard for the human inhabitants. Our Hero comes across a man and woman fleeing from the Pirates. The girl manages to escape and tells him that she is a Cyborg carrying information which could mean the end of the plague. The Pirates recapture the girl, leaving it to our Hero to rescue her...

Shallow offering that really hasn't dated well, I remember enjoying this a lot more 20 years or so ago.
Low budget with badly choreographed fight scenes, the dialogue is non-existent and the plot full of holes.
Give me Terminator, Mad Max or Escape from NY anyday!

Re-Animator, a review by Jimmy

MOVIE / DVD INFO:

Title: Re-Animator (1985)

Genre: Horror
Director: Stuart Gordon
Rating: NR
Length: 1h26
Video: Anamorphic Widescreen 1.85:1
Audio: English
Subtitles: None

Stars:
Jeffrey Combs
Bruce Abbott
Barbara Crampton
David Gale
Robert Sampson

Plot:
A dedicated student at a medical college and his girlfriend become involved in bizarre experiments centering around the re-animation of dead tissue when an odd new student arrives on campus.

My Thoughts:
No need to say a lot about the film since it's a classic... perfect cast chemistry, excellent special effects, a very catchy and recognizable theme by Richard Band and a perfect mix of horror and comedy.

Highly recommanded and if you have never seen it what are you waiting for?

Valentine's Day Episode Marathon, a review by addicted2dvd

Veronica Mars: Season 3 Episode 14: Mars, Bars
One down, one to go. Veronica solves the Coach Barry case, but the O'Dell murder just gets more and more complicated. And guess what Logan finds on a Valentine's Day scavenger hunt: a new love interest.

My Thoughts:
This episode is a lot of fun. Jumping right to this episode it took me a few minutes to remember the ongoing storyline. But the episode... especially the scenes of the Valentine's Day scavenger hunt... were just a lot of fun.
