I always found this to be a fun movie... it is just hilarious. So many parts I could talk about that stands out as a good laugh. I especially liked the part that Gene Hackman played the blind man and had the monster over lighting his finger on fire. Even as much fun as it is there were a couple slow parts for me... and while it was still kinda funny... I didn't care for the musical number. I know... you are shocked that I wouldn't like that part! I did like the choice that they made when they decided on making this movie in black and white.. I thought it was a nice touch since they are paying homage to the classic horror. In my honest opinion this is Gene Wilder's best work... as I usually find him hit and miss. But it was Marty Feldman as Igor that stole the show. He was my favorite character in the movie. If by chance you never seen this film... it is one I highly recommend.

This one was a complete blind buy for me. I hadn't really heard about it when it was released and only caught my eye when the DVD came out. I picked it up thinking - Matt Damon, Heath Ledger, hmm... shouldn't be too bad. And I wasn't disappointed. Heath Ledger's quirky performance was refreshing. The movie itself had decent special effects and the storyline was something quite different. It had a couple of scene's which had me  but also included some bad acting from the support cast. All in all a decent feature which I'd definitely watch again.

Plot:
Meet Andy Millman, Actor. Never forgets his lines because he never gets any.

Andy (Ricky Gervais) is a desperate man. He's been an actor for five years but thanks to his useless agent (Stephen Merchant), he's never done any real acting. Instead, he's a lowly film extra, making his mark in the background while the stars do their work. His partner in arms is the pitiable Maggie, a fellow extra and a hopeless romantic.

Andy may be an extra, but he's a star in his own right.

Too bad nobody else agrees.
