Year: 2007 Director: Reema Kagti Writing: Anurag Kashyap (Screenwriter), Reema Kagti (Writer) Rating: NR Length: 125 Min. Video: Anamorphic Widescreen 1.85 Audio: Hindi: Dolby Digital 5.1 Subtitles: Arabic, English Stars: Shabana Azmi as Naheed Boman Irani as Oscar Ameesha Patel as Pinky Karran Khanna as Vicky Raima Sen as Milly Plot: Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd. is about newly married couples on a package honeymoon to Goa. Exciting and cheerful, this vacation is a subsidized option for a lot of dreamers on the bring of their new life. Six couples, a guide, a driver and a handyman ride in a bus from Bombay to Goa with a mysterious man on a bike following them. The narrative humorously unfolds different stories that explore the nature of love and human relationships. Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd. is a quirky comedy about love, men, women and superheroes... Awards: Music Videos Scene Access My Thoughts: A nice movie. Nothing special. It came to my attention when I was looking for movies with Minissha Lamba in it. Here she is part of a newlywed couple who both are secretly superheroes without the other knowing. She is cute again in this role. Also the other stories are nice to watch. I was surprised that the subject matter of homosexuality is adressed here. Two of the men here are closeted gays. I was surprised to see this in a typical Bollywood movie. Stars: Rainn Wilson as Frank Darbo Ellen Page as Libby Liv Tyler as Sarah Kevin Bacon as Jacques Gregg Henry as Detective John Felkner Plot: When Frank's (RAINN WILSON - THE OFFICE (US), TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN) ex-junkie wife Sarah (LIV TYLER - LORD OF THE RINGS, THE INCREDIBLE HULK) leaves him for the arms of sleazy drug-dealer Jacques (KEVIN BACON - X-MEN: FIRST CLASS, APOLLO 13), he is touched by the finger of God and decides to take the law into his own hands, becoming his own crime fighting superhero: 'The Crimson Bolt'. What Frank lacks in superpowers he makes up for with his trusty wrench in his one-man war on petty criminals. Powers or not, every superhero needs a sidekick! Enter Libby (ELLEN PAGE - INCEPTION, JUNO), a cute psychopath working at the local comic book store. Transforming into 'Boltie', Libby teams up with Frank to take Jacques down in his quest to win back his wife. From the warped imagination of writer-director JAMES GUNN (SLITHER) comes Bolt and Boltie, a crazed crime fighting duo here to save the day, or at least to beat you up! Extras:
My Thoughts: I decided to watch this after it came up in another thread. I did enjoy it, not as much as "Kick-Ass" though with which there are a number of similarities, and liked the twist within Frank's rationalisation at the end. Rating: (From Dave's DVD/Blu-ray Reviews on March 18th, 2012) Smallville Marathon, a review by addicted2dvdSeason 1: Disc 4: 13. KINETIC Whitney falls in with the wrong crowd - ex-jocks turned theives whose kryptonite-saturated tattoos alter their molecular structure so they can pass through walls... and rob banks and Lex's mansion with ease. My Thoughts: Good episode... really interesting... I like the tattoo angle. In this one Clark has to come to the aide of Whitney. Talk about awkward... having to help the boyfriend of the girl you are in love with! 14. ZERO A nemisis presumed to be dead for three years resurfaces in Smallville and stalks Lex. Chloe uncovers intriguing information about Clark's adoption. My Thoughts: An interesting episode... yet probably my least favorite Smallville episode there is. Definitely my least favorite of season 1. I found myself enjoying the sub-story of Chloe investigating Clark's life... then the main storyline. Oh well... they can't all be winners. 15. NICODEMUS Jonathan turns against his son, Lana becomes a sexy flirt, and Pete sets out to settle a score with Lex. They all exhibit unusual behavior after coming into contact with a strange, toxic flower - and there appears to be no antidote to the flower's poison. My Thoughts: This was a fun episode.... not only for the sexy scene with Lana... but the little nod to John Schnider's old TV Series... The Dukes of Hazzard... where you see him driving a pick-up and listening to the Dukes of Hazzard theme song on the radio.Being a big Dukes of Hazzard fan I got a kick out of that. The whole episode was and interesting and fun one... much better then the previous one... that is for sure. 16. STRAY A child that can read minds escapes from his cruel parents and finds happiness with the Kents. But that joy may be brief when his parents come looking for the boy so they can use his psychic gifts in a life of crime. My Thoughts: Great episode! I really liked the boy in this episode. This is one of the episodes I would consider in my top favorites. (From Smallville Marathon on July 31st, 2007) |
