My Thoughts:
This is a TV Movie in a boxset that was given to me. It is a boxset of TV Movies from the '70s and "80s called Life Love and Romance: 12 Films of Intrigue and Passion. I wanted to check this one out because I grew up watching One Day at a Time with Valerie Bertinelli who stars in this movie. But there is a couple other familiar faces in this one as well. Craig T. Nelson and Shelley Long.

As you could probably tell from the overview.... this one is pure drama. Heavy on the emotions. But it is pretty good. Some things in the story seemed to move pretty fast while other things were a little on the slow side. But I really liked Valerie Bertinelli in it. Thought she did a fine job... and she was as cute as ever in it.

My Rating:
Out of a Possible 5

Sherlock Holmes, a review by RossRoy

Sherlock Holmes
WHAT THEY SAY

MY THOUGHTS
Is there anything Robert Downey Jr. is not good at?

I love this reimagining - or rather, return to roots - for the return of Sherlock Holmes!

I must admit I wasn't entirely sure when I saw the previews and how it looked like it was headed towards boring action-packed-look-first-no-content fare, but I was pleasantly surprised! This Sherlock Holmes doesn't deal in much subtlety, but still, it worked! I like this depressive, darker, deranged Holmes. And I especially like Downey's portrayal.

Hope they make a few sequels!

1.01 ALF Pilot

Cast: Max Wright (Willy Tanner), Anne Shedeen (Kate Tanner), Andrea Elson (Lynn Tanner), Benji Gregory (Brian Tanner), Paul Fusco (ALF (voice, uncredited)), Liz Sheridan (Raquel Ochmonek), John La Motta (Trevor Ochmonek), Frank MC Carthy)

I loved watching this show when growing up. It is still fun to watch from time to time. Too bad that the US releases (which I own) contain the cut syndicated versions of the episodes. At least in this pilot it was very noticable.
