Underworld, a review by addicted2dvdUnderworld My Thoughts: Werewolves, Vampires, Action, Romance... this movie has it all. I know of many people that don't care for this combination of action and horror... but I have always liked it. This is actually the first time I watched this movie in quite a while. I really enjoyed this movie. It has lots of great action and beautiful imagery. I especially liked the look of (as they put it) the Gothic metropolis. While I liked the look of the werewolves in this movie... I felt a little disappointed in the transformation. I mean the CGI effects for it is alright... but after watching movies with it done "old school" I much preferred the look of the transformations from 20 to 30 years ago. But over-all I really enjoyed this movie. I am glad I decided to watch it again. Review Criterion - The pinnacle of film perfection and excellence. - Not quite an immortal film, yet a masterpiece in its own right. - Historically important film, considered a classic. - Borderline viewable. - A gangrenous and festering pustule in the chronicles of celluloid. When this series started, I did not think that it would become a series which is not just a cheap remake of the original. But now in season 4 they are still going strong. The documentary style is still enjoyable, but it has become really unbelievable. For four years this camera crew with multiple cameras has followed them around now and they never got in the shot of each other's cameras Due to the writer's strike this season was a couple of episodes short. But five of the episodes are twice the runtime as usual which makes it like watching 19 instead of 14 episodes. Also there are a lot of deleted scenes available. About 10-20 minutes per episodes. These were obviously cut for time and and not for bad quality. Rating: (From Tom's Random Reviews on September 13th, 2008) |
