My Thoughts:
I have some friends that tease me every time I watch this movie... because I have seen it so many times. So first let me say to them. I checked DVD Profiler... I last watched this film 2 years ago... So I don't want to hear it! :P

I have seen this movie get not so great reviews on the net... but I have to say... it is one of my favorite Sandra Bullock movies. I have watched it countless times. I find this movie to just be pure fun. There is several parts of this movie that I literally laughed out loud on. Sandra Bullock really has a great style in this movie. Shows that she can really hold her own when it comes to comedy.

My Rating:
Out of a Possible 5

Little Big Soldier, a review by dfmorgan

Little Big Soldier

Year: 2010
Director: Ding Sheng
Cast: Jackie Chan, Leehom Wang, Steve Yoo
Overview: Join the undisputed King of Action Comedyfor a madcap action-packed journey across ancient China. In the aftermath of a great battle between rival kingdoms, only two men remain standing! One is a peasant soldier with a shameless ability for avoiding his responsibilities in battle (Jackie Chan); the other is a warrior prince, who has been wounded fighting for his country (Leehom Wang). Irresistibly tempted by the chance to collect a large reward, the peasant overpowers the disadvantaged prince and sets off to collect his bounty. When danger confronts them around every corner, the world's two most unlikely allies quickly realise they will need to join forces if they are to make it home in one piece! As each challenge takes them closer to victory, a prince will learn humility and a nobody will find the strength to be someone great.

Based on an original story created by Jackie Chan himself, Little Big Soldier is a irresistible, pulse-pounding deluge of side-splitting comedy, stunts and kinetic martial arts action that is guaranteed to enthrall and entertain from start to finish!

Watched: 11th. Nov 2010
My Thoughts: Very much still the usual Jackie Chan fare of martial arts action and comedy. On top of this though Mr. Chan is bringing a dramatic edge to the proceedings. I think the two parts did mix but it wasn't fully cohesive in places as if he had to rein in his action for the drama. There was the usual bloopers during the end credits.

My Rating: An overall enjoyable film 3

My PILOT Marathon, a review by Rich

Ghost Whisperer: The Complete First Season

Pilot
Melinda Gordon just got married. During the wedding she sees something being drawn on the window and she knows it's a ghost. But for the first time, the ghost comes inside her house and that unsettles her. Despite being afraid, she tries to help him reunite with his family and pass along the message he needs her to say.

Melinda Gordon (Jennifer Love Hewitt) is a young newlywed with the unique gift to communicate with spirits of people who have died - a talent that was inherited from her grandmother.
The dead seek out Melinda's ability to help them relay significant messages and information to the living. Despite her fear, compassion compels her to help these earthbound spirits cross over by completing their unfinished business with the living.

A series that makes even a skeptic like myself think about the possibility of spirits etc. Tastefully written with a nice blend of reality and fantasy, this pilot was a good introduction to a popular series, with a solid and dependable cast. There are no real scary moments in the whole series, more focus is given to each story and the human side of it, and little is spent on any special effects.
As a criticism the series is rather slow paced, and there is a distinct lack of twists or subplots. But for easy viewing and general entertainment you can't go far wrong.
