Soul Survivors, a review by Rich

Title: Soul Survivors

Movie Count:23
TV Ep. Count:15

Runtime:86
Certificate:R
Year:2001
Genres:Horror, Suspense/Thriller

Plot:After a night of partying, college freshman Cassie (Melissa Sagemiller) and her friends are involved in a bloody car accident that turns into a horrifying tale of the supernatural. Overwhelmed by startling hallucinations, Cassie's grip on reality slips further as she begins a desperate race against time to learn who her real friends are, who wants her dead, and who will be the Soul Survivor.

My Review:
Fairly unoriginal and clichéd, but not the worst of its ilk. Think final destination and I know what you did last summer, and it fits squarely in that stable of genre.
Pretty good production, reasonable teen friendly cast, sensible pace and undramatic portrayal, the film is easy to watch with very little blood letting and more intelligent psychological challenges. The ending is too predictable, and some parts are handled clumsily, with elements of the script just too improbable to be believable.
Average movie worth watching, but truthfully not worth recommending as a purchase.
My Rating
Out of a Possible 5

The Incredibles, a review by dfmorgan

The Incredibles

Year: 2004
Director: Brad Bird
Cast: Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter, Jason Lee
OverviewWatched: 25th. Jun 2011
My Thoughts: An immensely fun superhero film, a film that is a very enjoyable watch. I love the little nuances and this time it was a musical section that I caught this time - when Mr. Incredible is at Syndrome's computer terminal the music is very John Barry in a James Bondish style.

My Rating: A fun 4

Smallville Marathon, a review by addicted2dvd

Season 3: Disc 4:

13. Velocity
After Pete purposely blows a street race, the thugs that run it threaten his life, so he asks Clark to use his powers to stop them..

My Thoughts:
Good episode.... seemed to be a rip off of Fast & Furious or something like that... but it was right good. I enjoyed it.

14. Obsession
Clark is forced to use his powers in front of Alicia, a new girl at school, but he is surprised to find out she has powers of her own.

My Thoughts:
A decent episode...though unlike many of the people I know... I never cared for Alicia... in neither of the episodes that she was in.

15. Resurrection
While his father is awaiting surgery, Clark befriends a young boy, Garrett whose brother Vince just died from liver failure. However, everyone is shocked when Vince shows up alive and seemingly well - until his liver starts failing again.

My Thoughts:
This one was a good episode. Seems like the idea of this one came from the movie John Q.... but was enjoyable all the same.

16. Crisis
Clark receives a panicked call from Lana and hears a gunshot before the line goes dead, but when he arrives at the Talon he is stunned to discover she is alive and well.

My Thoughts:
Another good episode... One I had to put in spoilers because the synopsis doesn't talk about it and didn't want to spoil it for any one reading... Thanks for this Addition Touti! :)
