My Thoughts: I have been curious about this animated film since I first seen it listed at Amazon a year or so ago. So needless to say I was excited when a friend of mine gave me the DVD out of her DVD/Blu-ray Combo pack. I have enjoyed the Green Lantern character every since I was a kid. I like how they did this film... making it an anthology. Though I personally would have liked to seen more Hal Jordan in the film. As the stories focused on the others in the Green Lantern Corp. Even with that I enjoyed this one quite a bit... matter of fact it put me in the mood for the live action movie. Worth the time put in to watch it!My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From What Movies I Been Watching on September 8th, 2013) Father of the Bride II, a review by addicted2dvd

Things get out of hand for befuddled father George Banks (Martin) when his young daughter unexpectedly announces her plans to wed. Life gets even crazier in the sidesplitting sequel when his daughter and his wife (Keaton) both announce they are pregnant, and George desperately tries to capture the wild and crazy days of his youth. Relive every heartwarming and hilarious moment in this special 2-movie collection. It's fantastic family entertainment that really delivers! Extras:
My Thoughts: While I don't consider this sequel to be as good as the original, I still enjoyed it quite a bit. It has several good laughs in it. While the father/daughter bond is still there in this one.... not nearly as much as it was in the first. Still well worth the time put in to watch it. Rating: (From What Movies I Been Watching on November 3rd, 2018) My PILOT Marathon, a review by RichAT HOME WITH THE BRAITHWAITES - FIRST SERIES - EPISODE 1 This has sat on my shelf forever after being purchased for one of my kids viewing, and I never gave it a 2nd glance. On watching the pilot of the series I was pleasantly surprised, a truly original, funny and compelling episode which bodes well for a great comedy series. Extremely fast-paced direction following this complicated but very believable genuine family, sharp dialogue and a set of main characters blend to create an addictive formula. All of the actors give great opening performances, and Amanda Redman (who I have never rated) is perfectly suited to the role as Alison and you instantly feel an affinity for her circumstances and role in the family. Recommended as you can pick this up fairly cheaply now. (From My PILOT Marathon on May 28th, 2008) |
