Rumour Has It, a review by RichRumour Has It Laid back and easy going movie, quite a novel storyline link to The Graduate, the film was made for me personally by Shirley MacLaines brilliant role as the grandmother (and Mrs Robinson). It is a comedy romance with all the usual ingredients, several funny and embarrassing moments, a nice pace that keeps you watching, and of course a happy ending. If you are a fan of this genre, and do not mind Costner and Aniston, then I would recommend this non-taxing film. (From Riches Random Reviews on April 22nd, 2009) Masters of Horror: The Damned Thing, a review by addicted2dvdMasters of Horror: The Damned Thing Twenty-four years ago, outside a small Texas town, young Kevin Reddle watched helplessly as his oilman father brutally slaughtered his mother before being torn apart by an invisible force. Today the county Sheriff, Kevin ('Sean Patrick Flanery' of THE BOONDOCK SAINTS) remains haunted by memories of that night and the fear that "the damned thing" may someday return. Now as the citizens of Cloverdale explode into a homicidal frenzy, the one man who has uncovered the truth is about to meet his own horrific destiny. 'Marisa Coughlan' ('BOSTON LEGAL') and 'Ted Raimi' (THE GRUDGE) co-star in this blood-soaked shocker written by 'Richard Christian Matheson' from the classic short story by 'Ambrose Bierce'. My Thoughts: Today I finally got around to watching the last episode of Masters of Horror that I never seen before. After watching this episode I can now say, without a doubt, that The V Word is my favorite of all the Masters of Horror episodes... but this one is not to far behind. I really enjoyed this episode. I can't say that this one has an extreme amount of gore in it (unlike episodes like Pelts) but it don't shy away from the gore either. So if you are not a fan of the gore... there is a few scenes you may want to close your eyes for. Over-all I really enjoyed the entire Masters of Horror series.... it is a shame that it has been canceled. I would have loved to seen even 1 more season. (From Addicted2dvd's Random TV Series Watched on March 22nd, 2008) Angel Marathon, a review by addicted2dvdAngel: Season 4 8. Habeas Corpses Original Air Date: 1/15/2003 When Angel realizes that there may be some connection between Connor and the Beast, he learns that Connor is trapped within Wolfram & Hart where the building is under lock-down and the Beast is on a brutal killing spree. Angel, Wesley, Gunn and Fred break into the building, only to be encountered by zombies of dead lawyers. Guest Stars: Stephanie Romanov Daniel Dae Kim Vladimir Kulich My Thoughts: This one I liked a whole lot! And I must say I got a good laugh out of Connor comparing angel to the Zombies... A slow, dimwitted undead thing that craves human flesh! That just could have been the best laugh I had so far in this series. Obviously Angel is not very happy with Cordelia right now for sleeping with Connor. But that is ok... Pretty soon we will have "Shiny Happy People" My Rating: (From Angel Marathon on March 16th, 2010) |
