Arsenic and Old Lace, a review by addicted2dvd
Stars: Cary Grant (1904) as Mortimer Brewster Priscilla Lane as Elaine Harper Raymond Massey (1896) as Jonathan Brewster Jack Carson as O'Hara Edward Everett Horton as Mr. Witherspoon Plot:Extras:
My Thoughts: I really enjoyed this film. It was a lot of fun to watch. I liked the entire cast in this one. Especially the much thinner then I am used to seeing Peter Lorre. This film has a lot of laugh out loud moments, Definitely highly recommended! Rating: (From Arsenic and Old Lace on March 20th, 2023) City Slickers, a review by addicted2dvd
Stars: Billy Crystal as Mitch Robbins Daniel Stern as Phil Berquist Bruno Kirby as Ed Furillo Patricia Wettig as Barbara Robbins Helen Slater as Bonnie Rayburn Plot:Extras:
My Thoughts: This is a film I haven't watched in a long time... while I knew I always liked it, I forgot just how good this one is. I loved every minute of it. For me Billy Crystal is pretty hit or miss... but in this case I thought he was great. He was funny... he was serious and he showed a caring side. And I really liked Jack Palance as well. Really I thought the entire cast was good here. If by any chance you have never seen this one... it is one I highly recommend! A must see! Now I just wish I had part 2 to follow it up with! Eater Rookie cop Danny Bannerman spends the night in an isolated precinct guarding a serial killer who eats his victims and is intent on making Danny his next "meal." Stars: Elizabeth Moss Russell Hornsby Stephen Lee Stephen R. Hart Pablo Schreiber My Thoughts: This is one of the episodes I actually missed when it was on TV. It is the 4th episode to air. I really wish I seen this one on TV as it may have given me some more hope for the series... as I really liked this one a lot. Sure there was some problems with it.... some good sized plot holes and such. But it was entertaining... and kept my interest throughout the episode.
