Wreck It Ralph, a review by DragonfireI went to see this movie back in November and really enjoyed. I liked it just as much watching it a second time on Blu-ray. It is a fun, entertaining movie that is good for families, though younger children won't have any idea who some of the game characters are. Adults may like that part of the movie more. The movie has an interesting plot, with the characters of video games being alive and the serge protectors in the arcade being like a train station. The animation is very well done and it really looks like the graphics from the older games when Ralph's game is shown at first. Even once things change to the better animation, the characters from that game move a little differently. The movie is really fun and entertaining and it definitely deserves to be seen. It is one of the more original ones I've seen in recent years. I did post a longer review on Epinions after I first saw the movie. Stars: Alex Vincent as Andy Barclay Jenny Agutter as Joanne Simpson Gerrit Graham as Phil Simpson Christine Elise as Kyle Brad Dourif as Voice of Chucky Grace Zabriskie as Grace Poole Plot: After being rebuilt by Play Pals Toy Company, Chucky reappears in the life of Andy Barclay, and the two battle it out for possession of the young boy's soul. Playtime's over! Extras:
My Thoughts: Last year I watched this movie on On-Demand and mentioned how I would like to add it to my collection. Not long later a friend of mine sent me the box set containing parts 2-5. While it may not be quite as good as the first Child's Play... I still like this one quite a bit. Like how it takes place shortly after part one. And I like the main storyline. I also thought the teen girl was a good addition to this one. It's a good, entertaining way to waste an hour and a half!My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From What Movies I Been Watching on January 25th, 2012) Tom's Random Star Trek Reviews, a review by TomVOY 4.07 Scientific Method Writer: Lisa Klink (Screenwriter), Sherry Klein (Original Material By), Harry Doc. Kloor (Original Material By) Director: David Livingston Cast: Kate Mulgrew (Captain Kathryn Janeway), Robert Beltran (Chakotay), Roxann Dawson (B'Elanna Torres), Robert Duncan McNeill (Tom Paris), Ethan Phillips (Neelix), Robert Picardo (The Doctor), Tim Russ (Tuvok), Jeri Ryan (Seven of Nine), Garrett Wang (Harry Kim), Rosemary Forsyth (Alzen), Annette Helde (Takar) Aliens make scientific experiments on the crew without their knowledge. Janeway is even grumpier than usual. Chakotay and Neelix mutate which makes a fun talk between those two about their new disabilites. Tom and B'Elanna act like hormonal teenager and use every chance they get to make out during their duty shifts. P/T moments: Some making out scenes, followed by chewing out by the captain. May favorite P/T scene in this episode is the one where they discuss how they should enter the briefing room. The final scene offers a possible explanation why the sudden change of their relationship a few episodes back. From now on the P/T relationship takes a back seat for the next three seasons. They are still P/T moments, but I will skip straight to season 7 where we finally get again some great P/T episodes. Rating: (From Tom's Random Star Trek Reviews on September 30th, 2009) |
