Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, a review by DJ Doena

Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country

William Shatner ... Captain James T. Kirk
Leonard Nimoy ... Captain Spock
DeForest Kelley ... Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy
James Doohan ... Captain Montgomery "Scotty" Scott
Walter Koenig ... Commander Pavel Chekov
Nichelle Nichols ... Cmdr. Uhura
George Takei ... Captain Hikaru Sulu
Kim Cattrall ... Lieutenant Valeris
Mark Lenard ... Ambassador Sarek
Grace Lee Whitney ... Commander Janice Rand
Brock Peters ... Admiral Cartwright
Leon Russom ... Starfleet Commander in Chief
Kurtwood Smith ... Federation President
Christopher Plummer ... General Chang
Rosanna DeSoto ... Azetbur
David Warner ... Chancellor Gorkon
John Schuck ... Klingon ambassador
Michael Dorn ... Colonel Worf

Three months until Captain Kirk and most of his senior staff go into retirement. Sulu has got his own ship now, the Excelsior. But then the klingon moon Praxis explodes. This polutes the atmosphere of the klingon homeworld Qo'noS (Kronos). The Klingons have no choice but to negotiate a peace treaty with the Federation. But there are forces in motion that want to prevent that this happens.

My opinion:
"There will be no peace as long as Kirk lives" (Star Trek IV). This time one had to fear that they mean it. VI is my favourite movie of the entire Star Trek series. There is a great final battle but that's not the end but is marking a new beginning.
Nicholas Meyer is directing a Star Trek movie for the second time after II and he did again an excellent job. Besides being the director he also worked on the screenplay for II, IV and VI and thus for three of the four best Star Trek movies.

Vampires: Los Muertos, a review by addicted2dvd

Vampires: Los Muertos
'JOHN CARPENTER PRESENTS VAMPIRES: LOS MUERTOS' is the terrifying sequel to the horror hit, 'JOHN CARPENTER'S VAMPIRES'. Tough-as-nails vampire hunter Derek Bliss (Jon Bon Jovi, 'U-571') is on the hunt for "suckers" in the heart of Mexico when he receives a new assignment from a mysterious client. Thrown together with a group of slayers, including sexy Zooey, who may or may not be one of the undead, Derek and company are up against a growing number of fast-moving, bloodthirsty vampires and their elusive and powerful leader, who has plans of her own for the slayers.

My Thoughts
This is only the second time I watched this sequel. I thought it was done right good... I really did enjoy it. Though I do prefer the original movie over this one. The only thing that really bothered me was that they couldn't (or wouldn't) bring back any of the cast from the first part. Don't get me wrong.... I think Jon Bon Jovi did a great job in the roll... but I missed seeing James Woods in the movie. Oh well... minor thing really... movie still well worth the time to watch it... in my opinion!

This is a really great episode with a lot of really funny scenes. I especially like the reactions when Puck had his mohawk shaved and the scene where Rachel looses her voice without noticing it herself.
Or the storyline where Kurt behaves more "country" to try to appear less gay. This episode again has some great scenes between Kurt and his dad.

Glee continuity:
Rachel promises the paralized Sean singing lessons by coming by his house once a week. But he has never been mentioned again.

Notable song:
This episode is full of great songs.

One of the few Finn songs I enjoy: Jessie's girl

Really fun was Kurt singing country. Also his "Rose's Turn" was nice to watch.

Another great song in this episode is U2's "One".
