Meet Adam Webber (Brendan Fraser, The Mummy, George of the Jungle), born and raised in a bomb shelter with his mad scientist father (Christopher Walken, Pulp Fiction) and his sherry swilling mother (Sissy Spacek, JFK). Adam's simple childhood has been filled with Perry Como records, The Honeymooners re-runs and good old-fashioned family values. Now, 35 years later, Adam is about to emerge into a bewildering modern world in search of supplies and a simple girl from Pasadena. Instead, Adam meets Eve (Alicia Silverstone, Clueless) a modern LA woman, jaded about life and burned by love. The result is "an engaging romantic comedy that's charming, funny and hip!"

My Thoughts:
Another one I enjoyed quite a bit. It is a lot of fun watching the character of Adam experiencing the world for the first time at 35. An interesting... and at times... funny story. I liked both Brendan Fraser and Alicia Silverstone in this one. I am not what you would consider a huge fan of Alicia Silverstone... but I really liked her in this movie. There was just something about her in it. She was spot on the character in this one. If you never checked out Blast from the Past... I definitely recommend it.

My Rating:
Out of a Possible 5

My Thoughts:
I finally got to this one this evening. I been looking forward to it since I got it in my collection a few days ago. But I knew the others in the house wanted to see it as well so waited till we were all able to watch it together. First I must say this animated movie is off the new DC 52 comics so some things are different. Most notibly some of the costumes. Superman's costume I have already gotten used to from the Man of Steel film. But it took quite a bit to get used to the way they did Wonder Woman's costume. And I still prefer the classic costume over this one. And it was also a bit strange seeing her fighting with a sword through-out the whole film. They also made some changes to the look of Cyborg. I missed Flash being the over-confident smart-mouth of the bunch. But at least they still had this fun aspect to one of the heroes... they just switched it over to Green Lantern. The storyline itself was fantastic! I loved every moment of this film! It is just some of the changes to some of the characters that bugged me a little. But if you are a fan of these animated superhero films this one is a must see! And now I am looking forward to checking out the next film coming from the DC Universe... Son of Batman.

Pete's Pilots, a review by addicted2dvd

Dungeons and Dragons: The Animated Series
An enchanted roller coaster delivers six youths into the magical realm of Dungeons and Dragons. There, each of them gains magical talents and abilities, all the better to survive their time in the Realm. The bow-shooting ranger, the acrobat, the thief, the cavalier, the boy wizard, and the barbarian are soon joined by a baby unicorn and tutored by the mysterious and inscrutable Dungeon Master. Opposing them is the evil Sorcerer Venger, as well as various ogres, demons, bounty hunters, dragons, lizard men, skeleton warriors and more, all intent on keeping the kids from getting back home!

The Night of No Tomorrow
The group finds Merlin, looking for a magic spell to get home Presto casts a spell only to release a horde of dragons attacking the nearby village.

My Thoughts:
This is a cartoon I used to watch back when I was a teen. I bought the DVD set for pure nostalgic reasons alone. When I saw the set so cheap I just couldn't help myself. The show is not as good as I remember it.. but it is entertaining enough and gives enough nostalgic value that it is worth the $9.86 I paid for the set. I never realized it when I was a kid... but it is now so obvious that the actor supplying the voice for Eric is none other then Donny Most (Ralph Mouth on Happy Days).
