Trial of the Incredible Hulk, a review by addicted2dvd

Trial of the Incredible Hulk
David Banner faces his greatest challenge...But can any court withstand both the Hulk and Daredevil?

While trying to stop a subway mugging, David Banner (Bill Bixby) is arrested for assault and is defended by blind attorney Matt Murdock (Rex Smith). But when Hulk (Lou Ferrigno) goes berserk and breaks out of jail, Murdock reveals his own secret to David Banner: Blinded by toxic radiation, he stalks the night as the super sensory acrobatic crime fighter called Daredevil. Can two men with uncommon powers now join forces to defeat an international crime syndicate or will their raging demons destroy whatever stands in their way?

John Rhys-Davies (Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Lord of the Rings) co-stars as the Kingpin in this top-rated 1989 television film directed by Bill Bixby that features one of the all-time great Hulk rampage scenes as well as a cameo appearance by Marvel Comics' Stan Lee!

My Thoughts:
This movie is the reason I had to get the 2 disc set replaced. This disc stopped playing shortly after the first time I watched it for some strange reason. Even though this is a good TV Movie that I enjoyed quite a bit... there is a couple things that bother me about it. First at the beginning of the movie David Banner has a full beard and when he changes to The Hulk... The Hulk has no facial hair what so ever. That just don't make much sense to me. The next problem I had is what did they do to the Daredevil!?! Everyone knows he is in a red costume. But yet in this movie they have him in a black ninja-like costume! See what I mean:

I did like that they had John Rhys-Davies (Sliders) playing The Kingpen. Even if they didn't do him bald like the comics and toons. I thought he did a good job all the same. As I said... I did enjoy the movie. There is just a couple things that should have been done differently. At least in my opinion.

My Rating:
Out of a Possible 5

Video: Full Frame
Audio: German
Subtitles: English

Stars:

Xaver Schwarzenberger

Plot:
My Thoughts:
It's been a while since I've watched this movie (almost 2 years) and tonight I was in the mood for something different, so I've decided to visit it again. The director name probably ring a bell for some members here since he had directed Nekromantik, Nekromantik 2 and Der Todesking (this one seems really interesting). I can say one thing, if you think that Nekromantik is weird be prepare for a weirdest viewing experience.

In this movie you are in the head of the killer at the moment of his death (in fact the movie start with his death scene) and this man's mind is really confuse. The film is hard to understand since it doesn't have a continuous storyline from A to B, so you get the story by mixed fragment with no logical timeline. But this is a good idea to get really in the film. Surprisingly you get much more male nudity in the film than women one (even frontal one), not something that really please me but perfectly understandable since the movie is about the killer and not his victims (don't expect a serial killer movie this is not that kind of movie). Speaking of nudity, this film had one of the most unpleasant scene to watch for a man that I've ever seen  :bash:1).

This is not a movie that I watch often, but if you want to watch something artistic and different give it a try.

Rating :

1. Just imagine that the head is another genre of more sensible one

Pete's Pilots, a review by addicted2dvd

JAG

Pilot
Lt. Harmon "Harm" Rabb, a JAG lawyer who investigates and litigates crimes committed by Navy and Marine personnel, looks into the mysterious death of a female pilot aboard an aircraft carrier. Harm is convinced the female pilot who fell overboard didn't commit suicide, but was actually pushed, with all the suspects still aboard the aircraft carrier.

My Thoughts:
This is another of my favorite shows... unfortunately I have fell way behind on collecting this series... as I only have the first 5 seasons (of 10) so far. While this is a good pilot episode... I did enjoy every minute of it. I definitely prefer seasons 2 on. I like the character of Mac much better then any of his other partners. Gotta love Catherine Bell!  :drooling: The storyline for this episode is very good. It really keeps your attention!
