CastOverview: An explosive action tale of betrayal and revenge, The Losers centres around an elite Special Forces unit sent to the Bolivian jungle on a search and destroy mission. But the team soon find that they have become the target of a deadly double cross by a powerful enemy known only as Max.

Now presumed dead, the group makes plans to avenge themselves and clear their names, joined by the mysterious Aisha, a beautiful operative with her own agenda.

The Losers stars Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Watchmen) as Clay; Zoe Saldana (Avatar, Star Trek) as Aisha; Chris Evans (Fantastic Four) as Jensen and Idris Elba (The Wire) as Roque, in an incredible action adventure that has to be seen to be believed!

My Thoughts: I haven't read, nor previously heard of, the comics that this film was based upon so cannot compare them. However I found this to be an acceptable park-your-brain type of a film. A tad OTT in places and a little far-fetched in others but generally enjoyable.

My Rating: An enjoyable 3

Fifteen & Pregnant



Tina Spangler is just another happy kid at fourteen. At fifteen she's pregnant and faces the choices of abortion, adoption or the lonely life of a single parent. Abandoned by her boyfriend she has only one person to turn to - her mother, a single parent herself. What starts out as a hopeless tale could re-unite this shattered family. Based on a true story.

Moralistic tale fairly well told, in the vein of a made for tv movie. Despite a low budget and average acting, it is worth giving this film a chance as it improves through a fairly emotive story and the viewing of how a teenage pregnancy not only affects the young mother, but also her family.
It has dated already, and I would recommend Juno ahead of it for more entertainment value.

Babylon 5: Marathon, a review by DJ Doena

Synopsis: A Ranger training post is sealed of with mines and one ranger who could escape asks Babylon 5 for help. Meanwhile Londo tries to cut his connections to Mr. Morden and his associates. Also a representative of Earth comes to Babylon 5 to investigate about the Shadow vessel that destroyed Lt. Keffer's Starfury.

My opinion: I always liked Marcus and I sure love the White Star. But Sheridan has to be a bit mad to try a stunt like the one in this episode. Good introduction to the next step of the story.


Synopsis: A series of bombings shake Babylon 5. Bombs planted by a person who has no political agenda but to spread fear. And when Lennier tries to save Londo he gets badly hurt.

My opinion: While I never really understood the motives of the bomber I really liked the tube scene between Londo and G'Kar. I also liked the arrival of the monks around brother Theo who will stay for a while on the station.


Synopsis: A probe approaches Babylon 5 and transmits a message: When Babylon 5 can answer a series of highly complicated questions, they will receive important knowledge in return. If not, the probe will explode and take B5 with it.

My opinion: Another average episode, there's not really much to say about it.


Synopsis: Again we see the monks. But one of them is troubled because he gets flashes of memories but he can't remember the events. Meanwhile Lyta Alexander return to the station on a Vorlon(!) transprt ship. She has been to the Vorlon homeworld but is forbidden to tell about it. She now works for the Vorlons and must hide from the Psi Corps.

My opninion: Great episode about crime and punishment. To see the life of a mind-wiped person and how the victims of a crime can't let go. I really liked the acting of Brad Dourif (Dune, Deadwood) and the actions of brother Theo at the end of the episode.
