My Thoughts:
I treaded this one. I enjoyed the first one at the time, but since then, I was not much of a fan of Kevin Smith. Probably since he started smoking weed when working on Zack & Miri with Seth Rogen. At least since then he didn't make a good movie. But as I am hyped to see Clerks 3 (there is no German disc release yet, so I am probably ordering soon a UK release), because I am a fan of the second one, I thought I will finally add the sequel to "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" to my collection. And what I heard of Clerks 3, I probably will enjoy it.

This movie is very meta. Even more so, than the first one. But it has been awhile, since I saw that one. Some of the jokes I liked. I can recommend this movie only for fans of the first one. But as far as I remember, the first one was better.

My Thoughts:
I haven't seen this movie since I bought it several years ago. It's definitely one I enjoyed. A movie that keeps you guessing. Though I did find that it does drag a little here and there. I really liked Michael Douglas in this one... but I didn't care much for Sean Penn. That is not a surprise though... as I don't remember ever enjoying him in anything that I saw him in. There is just something about him I don't care for. If you haven't seen this one it is definitely worth checking out.

My Rating:
Out of a Possible 5

"Due South" marathon, a review by Tom

2.09 The Edge (1996-02-15)
Writer: Paul Haggis (Created By), Seth Freeman (Writer)
Director: Richard J. Lewis
Cast: Paul Gross (Constable Benton Fraser), David Marciano (Detective Ray Vecchio), Beau Starr (Lt. Harding Welsh), Tony Craig (Detective Jack Huey), Catherine Bruhier (Elaine), Camilla Scott (Inspector Margaret Thatcher), Maria Therese Rangel (Anita Cortez), Ken Foree (Macon Lacroix), Gordon Pinsent (Fraser Sr.), Jason Blicker (Special Agent Helms), Matthew Bennett (Special Agent Casey), Richard Yearwood (Special Agent Bush), Allan Murley (Bennett), Shaun Austin-Olsen (Lieutenant), Bruce Clayton (Lunatic)

I didn't enjoy this episode very much. There is no really plausible reason for our characters to have to play bodyguards. And I didn't like the dream sequences and why is Fraser doubting his skills because of age all of a sudden?
The best part in this episode is Thatcher going "We clean our own personell!"
And also Fraser's "Ray, duck." was fun.
