Chloe, a review by dfmorgan

Chloe

Year: 2009
Director: Atom Egoyan
Cast: Julianne Moore, Liam Neeson, Amanda Seyfried
Overview: Catherine (Julianne Moore: Boogie Nights), a successful doctor, suspects her handsome music professor husband David (Liam Neeson: Taken, Clash of the Titans) is cheating on her. To lay her suspicions and fears to rest, she hires an irresistible young woman, Chloe (Amanda Seyfried: Mamma Mia!), to test David's fidelity. Chloe's torrid tales of her encounters with David lead Catherine on a journey of sexual and sensual re-discovery. But by opening the door to temptation, she puts her family in great danger...

Watched: 25th. Dec 2010
My Thoughts: An erotic thriller. I guessed the first twist, but that may have been from comments here, but failed to spot the second. Apparently this is a remake of the French film Nathalie... which I have in my collection, in fact I'm sure I have watched it but cannot remember any details. I'll have to sort it out and (re)watch that to see how they compare.

My Rating: A pretty good film so 3

Unbeknownst to each other, they are both coolly lethal, highly paid assassins working for rival organizations. And when they discover they're each other's next target, their secret lives collide in a fun, explosive mix of wicked comedy, pent-up passion, nonstop action and high-tech weaponry that gives an all-new meaning to "Till death do us part!"

My Thoughts:
I always enjoyed this movie. I like the comedic touch during the fights between Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

There was a short-lived Mr. & Mrs. Smith TV series in the 90s with Scott Bakula and Maria Bello. I hope there will be a DVD release of it some time. Though it has not much in common with this movie, I did enjoy it, when it was on German television at the time.

Pete's Pilots, a review by addicted2dvd

Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Now you can own the entire first season of BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER.

All 12 classic episodes are available for the first time in this exclusive 3-disc collector's edition. From "Welcome to the Hellmouth," "The Harvest" and "Angel" to "Nightmares," "Out of Mind, Out of Sight" and "Prophecy Girl," these Season One episodes are a must for every true Buffy fan.

Welcome to the Hellmouth
Buffy Summers, a high school sophomore, transfers to Sunnydale High. There she meets her new "Watcher" and learns she cannot escape her true destiny.

The Harvest
A stranger named Angel tells Buffy that if she does not stop The Harvest, the Hellmouth will open and The Master will roam free.

My Thoughts:
This is one of my top favorite series of all time. And this 2-part episode does a great job of introducing all the characters. Not saying to much here as I believe most people know this series. Will just say I highly recommend it.
