Detective Dwight Faraday ('Brian Benben') is a burnt-out cop demoted to the 'weird calls' desk until a series of bizarre murders suddenly grabs his attention: Several men killed by massive blunt force trauma while in a state of sexual arousal, all last seen in the company of a sexy Native American woman ('Cinthia Moura'). But when it's discovered that these corpses were trampled into hamburger by what appear to be hooves, Faraday must hunt a killer who may not be totally human. Will one cynical cop be caught like a deer in the headlights or has a terrifying seductress risen from legend to slaughter the horny?

'Anthony Griffith' co-stars in this erotic horror comedy co-written and directed by 'John Landis' (ANIMAL HOUSE,THE BLUES BROTHERS) and featuring grisly gore effects by 'Gregory Nicotero' & 'Howard Berger' (KILL BILL, CHRONICLES OF NARNIA, LAND OF THE DEAD).

My Thoughts:
Another episode that I consider just average. Nothing really bad about it... but nothing really special either. To be honest... on this second viewing I felt my attention drifting from the show while watching. Just didn't seem to keep my attention as much as the first time I watched it. Other then that... the dvd release is about par with the episodes before it.

Dead Alive
Throw out all your preconceptions about the limits of horror! A new standard has been set with Dead Alive - The Mother of All Horror Films.

On a quiet street, in a small town, pure evil has come to stay. Lionel, an innocent young man, is forced to care for his domineering mother and finds the task a whole lot more demanding after she's bitten by the cursed Sumatran rat monkey. Passing the point of death, Lionel's mother sucks friends and family into her gruesome existence among the living dead and Lionel is sent spiraling into a goulish nightmare.

Now a crazed zombie, she soon infects enough people to make it difficult for Lionel, still the faithful son, to keep the neighbors from suspecting that something is terribly wrong.

Dead Alive is dripping with state-of-the-art special effects that feature mutilations, rock 'n roll dismemberments and household appliances, combining into the most bizarre ending ever filmed.

My Thoughts:
Ok... this movie was suggested to me over and over again. I had multiple people tell me that this is a must see movie. I think in this case I may have allowed people to hype it up just too much for me. I mean it was an OK movie... but not much more then that in my opinion. Definitely had it's moments... some funny scenes... and plenty of gore. Only problem is a good portion of that gore was so unrealistic it was almost cartoon-ish. As I said... it had it's moments... but while watching it all I could think of is everyone is going nuts over THIS... I just don't get it. But I am not sorry I have it in my collection... especially since it cost me nothing. And I can see myself watching it again here and there for a few laughs. But I personally don't see the cult following on this one.

Plot:
It is 2151. Britain has launched a fleet of spaceships to protect her interests in a changing galaxy. Amongst them is the HMS Camden Lock, with a crew who will risk everything and stop at nothing to bring harmony to the galaxy, while encouraging aliens to relocate their businesses to Peterborough.

They are led by the inappropriately optimistic Commander Henderson, a glorious hero in the eyes of himself, and his First Officer, York, not just a brilliant scientist and tactician, but also a borderline psychopath. The rest of the crew comprise love-struck Diplomatic Officer Teal, who burns several boxes of candles for the Commander; manic depressive Nagivator Vine; insubordinate Technical Officer Jeffers and enhanced human Sandstrom - whose body and mind were modified in exchange for the Space Force paying off her student loan. Together they experience the highs and lows of space travel and inter-galactic diplomacy: big swivelly chairs, anoying talking doors, and, of course, the alien wars that threaten the survival of life in the universe...

Not as funny as I hoped. But probably something I hopefully will finish watching in the future. If it would have been better, I probably would have watched the whole series today before continuing on in this marathon.
