The Wolf Man, a review by addicted2dvdTitle: The Wolf Man Movie Count: 44 TV Ep Count: 8 Time Started: 6:30am Plot: Lon Chaney Jr. portrays Larry Talbot, who returns to his father's (Claude Rains) castle in Wales and meets a beautiful woman (Evelyn Ankers). One fateful night, Talbot escorts her to a local carnival where Jenny's fate is revealed by a mysterious gypsy fortune teller. My Thoughts: This is one of the first classic monster movies I ever seen.... and definitely one of my favorites. I love this movie! I especially like how well done the Wolf Man makeup is done. Especially considering the age of this movie. Lon Chaney, Jr. did an awesome job at playing both the tortured soul of Larry Talbot as well as The Wolf Man. And even though is only a small part I enjoyed Bela Lugosi as Bela, the gypsy. This is a movie I have watched many times... and sure I continue to enjoy many more times to come. My Rating Out of a Possible 5 (From My Month Long Horror/Halloween Marathon: 2008 on October 12th, 2008) The Hunger Games, a review by addicted2dvd

My Thoughts: For the next film I let my daughter pick the movie to watch... and this is the one she wanted to see. I found this to be a very good film. It easily kept my attention from beginning to the end. And I was pleasantly surprised to see an appearance by Donald Sutherland as President Snow. I always liked him. I would have liked to seen more hunting scenes... I kinda went into this one expecting to see more. I also found that while this is a rather long movie... it didn't feel like it while watching it. I would say this one is definitely worth checking out.My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From Weekend Movie Marathon: The Blu-ray Experience on July 5th, 2013) Miracles Marathon, a review by addicted2dvdMiracles Marathon 3. The Patient Paul's investigation into the link between paranormal abilities and disease takes a very personal turn when he develops a relationship with a noted scientist's daughter. Guest Stars: Clarence Williams III Jade Carter Gina Ravera My Thoughts: I liked this one. It is an interesting story. Has enough suspense to make you not want to look away from the screen the entire episode. Clarence Williams III has become a right familiar face to me. He seems to appear in several movies and shows that I have. My Rating: (From Miracles Marathon on December 22nd, 2009) |
