Miss Congeniality, a review by Dragonfire

Legs waxed. Lips glossed. Gun ready. FBI Agent Gracie Hart is going undercover as a hopeful eager to be the next Miss United States. But Gracie doesn't have a beauty-pageant bone in her body.

Sandra Bullock gets physical in 'Miss Congeniality', bringing her powerhouse talent for physical comedy to the role of an operative posing as a pageant contestant in order to ferret out a terrorist targeting the event. Michael Caine deliciously plays the frustrated consultant hired to turn the FBI's Dirty Harriet into a poised beauty. And Benjamin Bratt, Candice Bergen, William Shatner and Ernie Hudson also score points for hilarity in this box-office smash. From big laughs to sly quips, 'Miss' hits.

My Thoughts

I love this movie and have watched it many times.  This was actually one of the first DVDs I got.  This type of comedy is what Sandra Bullock does best and it would be nice if she did it more often.  How Gracie was trying to fit in at the pageant was really funny.  Vic, the guy who was helping her act like a pageant contestant, was really funny.  There was also a bit of action added in and the end of the pageant was hilarious.  Unfortunately, the sequel wasn't that great.

The Lost Boys, a review by addicted2dvd

Title: The Lost Boys
Movie Count: 28
TV Ep Count: 6
Time Started: 6am
Plot:
Sam and his older brother Michael are all-American teens with all-American interests. But after they move with their mother to peaceful Santa Carla, California, things mysteriously begin to change. Michael's not himself lately. And Mom's not going to like what he's turning into.

My Thoughts:
Definitely one of my favorite Vampire movies... one I have seen countless times that I never tire of. This movie is the first thing I ever seen Keifer Sutherland in... and I think he did an awesome job in it. I also think Jason Patric did a great job as Michael. and I definitely couldn't help but to enjoy the Old Fart (Grandpa)... I just get such a kick out of him and all the stuffed animals he gave to Sam. Definitely one I would highly recommend to any horror fan... especially vampire fans. Though I do believe most all horror fans probably seen this one by now!

My Rating

The 2013 Pilot Review, a review by DJ Doena

Masters of Sex

Masters of Sex @ IMDb
Masters of Sex @ Wikipedia

Synopsis: The series tells the history of a doctor, an OB/GYN and his assistant who for the first time examine the biology of human sexuality.

My Opinion: It's based on real people and I assume is supposed to be a period piece but I found it to be rather boring. I guess it tries to draw its appeal to an American audience with nude bodies and sex scenes.
