Now, with Odin the almighty king of the gods deep in a regenerative sleep, and the forces protecting Asgard at their weakest, Loki is finally ready to spring his trap. In an epic battle that will pit gods against monsters, that will test a hero's limits more than ever before, only The Mighty Thor can hope to prevail.

My Thoughts:
This short movie is at least a little longer then Hulk vs. Wolverine (the other animated movie in this set)... clocking in at 45 minutes. Even though I have always liked the character of Thor... I have liked the character of Wolverine more. Which may be part of the reason I enjoyed the Wolverine one more then this one. I mean... this one is still good... but not quite as good. It has a decent story... but there was parts of the storyline that I didn't care for. Over-all was worth the time put into it. And I can see myself watching this (both of them) again.

My Rating:
Out of a Possible 5

Pale Flower, a review by Antares

Pale Flower (1964) 3.5/5 - Highly stylized in its presentation, Pale Flower is a hybrid noir/gangster film from the heyday of Japanese cinema. The characters share a detached sense of coolness which leaves them underdeveloped and for the most part, kind of uninteresting. Now don't get me wrong, I liked the film, but then again, I love almost all Japanese films from this time period, but there really isn't much to the story. You have a ronin type Yakuza who has just been released from prison for killing a rival gang member, and he returns to his former life style, but seems to want to go in a different direction. Not knowing anything other than that kind of life, he just melds back into it with a sense of personal destiny. He then meets an attractive young female gambler, who throws caution to the wind in everything she does, and his life gets a jump start. Unfortunately, it is here where the story kind of fizzles out. Maybe the director should have shorn away a few scenes of the couple gambling, and added a little more of them together out in the real world as it is here that the film scores repeatedly. There's a scene of the two racing another car on a highway, and you get a sense of why they both are attracted to each other. They both live for danger, and she doesn't really understand what kind of man she is with, but that's because the director doesn't flesh out either character. This is only my second Yakuza film, and I hope that further adventures into this genre yield riper fruit. It's an interesting film to look at, but atmosphere, cinematography and a great soundtrack aren't a complete package.

Sliders Marathon, a review by addicted2dvd

4. PRINCE OF WAILS
In the British States of America--a place where England won the Revolutionary War--the Sliders are embroiled in an assassination plot involving the heir to the throne and an evil Sheriff of San Francisco.

My Thoughts:
Not a bad episode... but really just kind of a standard filler episode. There really wasn't anything that was that exciting.

My Rating:

5. SUMMER OF LOVE
The Sliders find themselves in a present-day San Francisco where the "Summer of Love" never ended--and Wade and Rembrandt are mistaken for extraterrestrial prophets.

My Thoughts:
This is a fun episode. It was interesting to see the Sliders getting separated like that... not even knowing if they were on the same Earth.

My Rating:

6. Eggheads
While Quinn struggles with fame in a world where intellectuals are more popular than pro athletes, Arturo tries for a reconciliation with a long-lost love.

My Thoughts:
Another fun episode. I liked how they hold intelligence very high... and combined academics and sports for this dimension.

My Rating:

7. The Weaker Sex
Arturo finds himself in a potentially deadly mayoral race in a world where men are treated as "The Weaker Sex" and women hold the positions of power and respect.

My Thoughts:
While a good episode... this one isn't quite as good as the previous one. It had an interesting story... but it just didn't pull it off in my opinion. Close... but not quite.
