Duplicity, a review by dfmorgan
Year: 2009 Director: Tony Gilroy Cast: Clive Owen, Julia Roberts, Tom Wilkinson, Paul Giamatti OverviewWatched: 5th Jul. 2010 My Thoughts: An interesting film. I will admit to getting confused with some of the jumps from the present to their past meetings until it was cleared up. A nice concept with plenty of twists and turns to keep you thinking. Would companies go to that extreme I wondered then decided that yes, probably, if they were trying to launch that type of product or similar. My Rating: Overall an enjoyable 3 Dave (From Dave's DVD/Blu-ray Reviews on July 6th, 2010) Beyond the Door, a review by addicted2dvd
Stars: Juliet Mills as Jessica Barrett Gabriele Lavia as Robert Barrett Richard Johnson as Dimitri Nino Segurini as Dr. George Staton Elisabeth Turner as Barbara Staton Barbara Fiorini as Gail Barrett Plot: Jessica Barrett lives a blissful life in San Francisco. With two kids, a record exec husband and a baby on the way, life is pretty full. But when she finds out that her new baby belongs to the Prince of Darkness, she becomes a demonically possessed beast. Her ex-boyfriend, Dimitri, a Satan worshipper, must sacrifice her child in order to renew his own twisted existence. Extras:
My Thoughts: This DVD release has 2 versions of the movie (on separate discs)... one is the uncut version... the other the "US Theatrical Version." I watched the uncut version today. This is a pretty good movie. I enjoyed it well enough. Though there was some slow spots through-out and some strange things as well. But I definitely think it is worth checking out. I have to say... going by the trailer I did expect more from it then what I got. But that isn't surprising... they normally pick a lot of the best parts to show in the trailer. The release has a nice selection of extras as well... but out of those all I watched was the trailer and the Introduction by Lee Christian and Juliet Mills. I had to chuckle at Juliet Mills in the introduction... as she confused The Omen for The Exorcist when trying to make a comparison to this movie. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From Weekend Movie Marathon: Last Chance Horror on August 11th, 2012) The X-Files Marathon, a review by addicted2dvdThe X-Files: Season 1 12. Fire Original Air Date: December 17, 1993 Mulder and Scully investigate an unusual murder suspect - A man who has the ability to start fires using only his mind. Guest Stars: Amanda Pays as Phoebe Green Mark Sheppard as Cecil L'ively / Bob Dan Lett as Sir Malcolm Marsden Laurie Paton as Lady Malcolm Duncan Fraser as Beatty My Thoughts: Once again... I spot someone from another series that I didn't realized was in this before today. This time I am talking about the very attractive Amanda Pays who co-starred in The Flash. This is another excellent episode that I enjoyed every second of.. My Rating: (From The X-Files Marathon on March 30th, 2010) |
