Club Dread, a review by addicted2dvd

Title: Amityville: A New Generation
Movie Count: 26
TV Ep Count: 9
Time Started: 11:30am
Plot:My Thoughts:
After a boring, somewhat depressing morning at the doctor's office with my mother I felt the need for something light-hearted. So I figured it was a good time to check out a Comedy-Horror. So figured if I was going to do that may as well knock "Club Dread" off my unwatched list. Wasn't too bad... some pretty good laughs... some decent kills... lots of pretty girls in bikinis (and less)... you know a good time to be had by all. Though I have to admit... I was expecting it to be a little better then what it actually was... but that could just be because I went into this one with fairly high expectations. I had heard it was an awesome movie.... and I personally would not go quite that far.

Der rote Punkt (The Red Spot), a review by Tom

Der rote Punkt (The Red Spot)

Aki, whose parents died in a car accident in Germany when she was little, is searching for the spot where this happened. She is taken in by a German family which has some family problems.

A German/Japanese co-production with a Japanese director who has lived in Munich for the last 13 years.
I really enjoyed this movie. Also this showing had the nice benefit, that it was attended by most of the film's cast and crew. After the movie they had them all come forward. About ten actors (including almost all of the principal cast) and twenty crew members (director, screenwriter, composer, costume designer,...).

This movie was our last in this AsiaFilmFest. Incidentally it was the one I had chosen and I enjoyed it best of the three I had watched.

The Flash Marathon, a review by addicted2dvd

The Flash Marathon

Image: The Flash

Episode 3 - Watching the Detectives
Is The Flash a political pawn? A crooked D.A. discovers the superhero's civilian identity and uses that information to blackmail him into becoming his secret accomplice.

Guest Stars:
Richard Belzer as Joe Klein
Joyce Hyser as Megan Lockhart
Vito D'Ambrosio as Bellows

My Thoughts:
Another good episode. They decided to get the "what could happen if someone finds out who the Flash is" storyline out of the way pretty early in the series.

My Rating:
