I was just about to order a DVD from and the shipping is 6.49$.

Are you on Amazon.com, or Amazon.ca? I know that on Amazon.ca, shipping is a flat 3.49$ to Canada. For Amazon.com, I don't know.

I'm on Amazon.ca.  I don't get it, I cancelled the order, tried a different movie from a different seller and it still says shipping will be 6.49 at the last step before confirming the order.

Odd. I just ordered three items today, at 16h49, and the total shipping cost was 10.47$.
