[img]Though I must admit that Erin Brown girl is a real cute one... of course I always had a thing for redheads anyway... description calls her an "erotic scream queen" under another name (Misty Mundae). I may have to see what else she has done.

Pete if you take a look at my review topic you will see that I've watched many of her movies recently. "Sinful" could be one that you could like.

Thanks Jimmy... I will be sure to check it out. Though being such a huge horror fan... I am pretty sure I would enjoy the horror related ones the most of all. I was looking at her bio/filmography and see she has done several horror related... and several movie parodies... they might be funny to check out as well. But I mainly focus on horror.

Pick Me Up

'Laurene Landon' (MANIAC COP, HUNDRA) co-stars in this perverse tale written by 'splatterpunk' author 'David J. Schow' (THE CROW, TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE: THE BEGINNING) and directed by Master Of Horror 'Larry Cohen', the creator of IT'S ALIVE, BLACK CAESAR and Q: THE WINGED SERPENT.

My Thoughts:
This is another episode I like a lot. This one shows the dangers of hitchhiking. It has a bit of blood in it... but not really anything I consider gory. There is one problem I did have with this episode. I personally think that they went a bit too far with the twist at the end of the episode. I was able to get behind what was going on through-out the episode. But I just found the twist ending go to the extreme.

Haeckel's Tale

But on a journey to visit his gravely ill father, he finds shelter in the home of an older man and his seductive young wife (Leela Savasta) who cannot be fulfilled by mortal hungers. Somewhere in the darkness of a nearby necropolis, a defiant necromancer (Jon Polito of BARTON FINK, MILLER'S CROSSING) will now summon them all to an orgy of the undead and unleash the ultimate depravity for those who do not heed the warning of HAECKEL'S TALE.

Directed by John McNaughton in association with horror legend George A. Romero, this startling mix of erotic desire and gut-ripping horror is adapted by series creator/executive producer Mick Garris from the short story by Clive Barker.

My Thoughts:
This is another episode I like a lot. Is a fun... yet interesting (if not somewhat sick) story. The effects and make-up are well done. And this one does have it's share of gore in it. As with all the season 1 episodes this release has good quality and a lot of extras to enjoy.

Youki Kudoh of MYSTERY TRAIN and MEMOIRS OF A GEISHA co-stars in this justifiably controversial mindblower directed by Takashi Miike (AUDITION, ICHI THE KILLER), based on the Japanese horror novel 'Bokee Kyotee' and adapted by AUDITION screenwriter Daisuke Tengan, now presented completely uncut and uncensored for the first time ever in America.

My Thoughts:
This is the episode that never made it to the air on Showtime. That is something I personally have mixed feelings about. First of all... yes this was a very powerful and disturbing episode... maybe even to the point of seeing concerns about airing it on Showtime. I personally would have let it on if it was my decision... as I feel the customers has the right to make up their own mind if they want to watch it or not. But at the same time I do see Showtime having the right to say no... they will not air something. After all... it is their company. So I guess I can understand it even if I don't agree with it. I am just glad that we still got to see it come out on DVD. And with a nice collection of extras with it.

As I said... this is a bit of a disturbing episode. Among other things you have torture and abortion. Not exactly pleasant viewing. That is for sure. Over all... it is a good episode. I enjoyed seeing Billy Drago in it. He is the guy that played the Demon of Fear on Charmed.
