I didn't go to my 10 year reunion.  I didn't even get an invitation..but I still wouldn't have gone.  I had no desire to go see a bunch of stuck up people again.  I've seen a few every so often since then..some were ok - they were ok in high school...but the stuck up jerks seemed the same.  With most of them, I don't even act like I've seen them.

Congratulations to Brittany and the proud dad!

Oddly enough, at my school there wasn't really any cliques. I mean, there are always the people who do sports, and sometimes I hung out with people from the art club (which should have just gave up and changed its name to the "anime club", btw), but there was really no division; everyone from every "group" melded together perfectly.

Most of the people there I wouldn't mind seeing again - we weren't great friends, but there was nothing wrong with them. When I say I will be happy never to see them again, I'm thinking of a few people in particular.

I didn't go to our 20 year reunion (well, I'd have had to travel 10,000 km just to get there...) and only met about a handful of people from school since leaving there.

I once learned that you "get to keep" roughly one person from each stage of your life...

Today is Brittany's graduation day. She is at practice now... I almost teared up seeing my little girl in a cap and gown... with an Honor's Society wrap around her neck.

The actual ceremony is this evening... I will be sure to get a picture or two of her between now and then to post here as well. Couldn't this morning as her ride showed up right as we were about to do it.

And now, as a friendly distraction.....

what I put on FaceBook!

I am sure that my father will flood this place with pictures of me in my cap and gown from my Graduation this evening (yes!!), so for my portion of the celebration, a picture of what I got out of it. Here, you see:

-an award for being in the top 10% of my class
-the casing for my diploma
-a Class of 2013 bracelet given by Mrs. Sproul of the National Honor Society, in a stylish black I might add
-a gift from my art teacher through the years, Mr. Shockley, who saw fit to give me a cool black notebook for writing my stories, appropriately decorated in skull-clad duct tape XD Never change, Mr. Shockley. Never change.

(and of course, a fancy mirror music box, a cool $100, some ice cream cake, and promise of a new life in Hollins University never hurt either!)

I have a collection.
It can be found here.
No need to check it often.
I update it only twice a year!
