100 Episodes!
« on: March 06, 2012, 10:24:31 PM »
It seems they always make a big deal about producing 100 episodes of a TV series. Always having a celebration for the milestone and such. It used to be that this was the number of episodes needed for the show to go into syndication... having other channels run the re-runs of the series. Though I don't believe that is the case any longer. After watching one of the celebrations on a DVD set recently it made me curious about how many different series I have 100 episodes or more of. So I couldn't resist...

How many TV Series do you have 100 or more episodes of in your collection?

In my collection I have 100 episodes of...

1. 21 Jump Street (104 Eps.)
2. 24 (168 eps. + 1 Movie)
3. The Adventures of Robin Hood (143 Eps.)
4. The Adventures of Superman (104 Eps)
5. Alias (105 Eps)
6. Angel (110 eps)
7. Batman: The Animated Series (109 Eps)
8. Bewitched (144 Eps)
9. Bones (105 Eps)
10. The Brady Bunch (117 Eps + 2 Movies)
11. Buffy the Vampire Slayer (144 Eps)
12. CSI (141 Eps)
13. Charmed (175 Eps)
14. The Dick Van Dyke Show (157 Eps)
15. The Dukes of Hazzard (144 Eps + 2 Movies)
16. Ellen (109 Eps)
17. Friends (226 Eps)
18. Ghost Whisperer (107 Eps)
19. Grey's Anatomy (126 Eps)
20. House, MD (152 Eps)
21. I Love Lucy (194 Eps)
22. JAG (108 Eps)
23. M*A*S*H (251 Eps)
24. Medium (128 Eps)
25. Monk (109 Eps)
26. NCIS (138 Eps)
27. Reba (112 Eps)
28. Roseanne (122 Eps)
29. Sabrina: The Teenage Witch (119 Eps)
30. Scrubs (150 Eps)
32. Seinfeld (134 Eps)
33. Smallville (217 Eps)
34. Supernatural (104 Eps)
35. Three's Company (168 Eps)
36. Twilight Zone (156 Eps)
37. The X-Files (202 Eps)
38. Xena: The Warrior Princess (134 Eps)

Wow! I knew I would have a nice handful of series in my list... but I wasn't expecting that many!

I checked which series has gotten a season 5 because that's agood indicator for a hundred episodes.

The following list doesn't mean I have all the seasons, but I have at least season 5 and thus 100 episodes:

24 (8 seasons)
Alias (5 seasons)
Angel (5 seasons)
Babylon 5 (5 seasons)
Bones (7 seasons and running)
Buffy (7 seasons)
House (8 seasons)
The Dukes of Hazzard (7 seasons)
ER (15 seasons)
Friends (10 seasons)
Highlander (6 seasons)
How I Met Your Mother (7 seasons and running)
JAG (10 seasons)
Hogan's Heroes (6 seasons)
LOST (6 seasons)
M*A*S*H (11 seasons)
NCIS (9 seasons and running)
Smallville (10 seasons)
Star Trek: The Next Generation (7 seasons)
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (7 seasons)
Stargate SG-1 (10 seasons)
Two and a Half Men (9 seasons and running)
Xena: Warrior Princess (6 seasons)

Quantum Leap missed the mark with 97 episodes in 5 seasons.
So will Chuck, once I have season 5.

I just went through mine...here's what I have.

3rd Rock From the Sun
Angel
Batman: The Animated Series
Bones
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman
Dukes of Hazzard
Futurama
Garfield and Friends
Get Smart
How I Met Your Mother
I Love Lucy
M*A*S*H
Nip/Tuck - This one ended at exactly 100 episodes
The Office
Reba
The Simpsons
That '70's Show
The X-Files

The Closer finished with just over 100 episodes.  I still need to get at least 1 season..maybe 2 of that one.
Criminal Minds and C.S.I. are both over 100 episodes now..I only have 3 seasons of each so far.
I have 3 seasons of The Dick Van Dyke Show.
Facts of Life had over 100, but not that many are on DVD yet.  :(
Fraggle Rock ended at 96 episodes - I have all of it.
Laverne & Shirley ran over 100 episodes, but again, not all of them are on DVD.  Same with King of the Hill...I have the seasons available..that is only 84 episodes.
The Muppet Show and Night Court also ran for more than 100 episodes...but I'm still waiting on more releases for them.
Remington Steele ended with 94 episodes.

The Big Bang Theory is now over 100 episodes, but I don't own that many yet - it just hit 100 in this current season.

Batman animated don't count because Batman: The Animated Series had only two seasons and 83 episodes and The New Batman Adventures had one season and 24 episodes. [/nitpick]  :tease:

I didn't count up all the Batman episodes...I listed it because Pete had it in his list with over 100 episodes.  So it is Pete's fault. ;)

They are all under Batman: The Animated Series on the DVD Releases. Think it is no different then Justice League/Justice League Unlimited and She-wolf of London/Love and Curses... where it is the same show... just went through a name change after a season or two.

I don't have DVDProfiler installed on my new machine at work (and probably won't).  But going off Karstan's theory of shows with 5+ seasons, I seem to have:

24
Babylon 5
Homicide: Life on the Street
Lost
Monk
The Office
Scrubs
Smallville
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
Supernatural
The X-Files

Looks like Newsradio only has 97.

The only one I have is Seinfeld.
I have a collection.
It can be found here.
No need to check it often.
I update it only twice a year!
