What is it about?An astroid the size of Texas is going to crash into Earth. It's a global killer, nothing will survive. The only plan NASA has is to drill a hole in it and blow it up with a nuke. And the best driller in the world is Harry Stamper and his bunch of nutcases. But they get the job done.
What do I think?Very unrealistic and very US-patriotic. Aside from this a very good popcorn movie with a good soundtrack. Some people don't like Bruckheimer or Bay movies for that matter because they expect them to be something that they don't even want to be. I nonethless like such movies but I also agree that they could be better if they wouldn't show the US flag every two minutes (Independence Day had the same problem).
