While I am not too concerned about americanisation with a more independent director (US movies have dealt with similar themes), I agree that Spike Lee might not have the right sensibilities for this film. But then, I have barely seen any of his films, so I might be wrong.

In another thread it was said that David Cronenberg is up for Hunger Games 2. I think he would be much better suited here!
