While flipping through the channels for the lady I take care of, we happened upon this series. I had never heard of it but Patty, who also hadn't seen it, said someone told her it was great.

I looked it up on amazon and found out the first season had been released on DVD so I ordered it Wed. I came on Fri. and Patty and I have already watched 4 hours of this show. We're both hooked.

Has anyone seen Shameless? I believe it airs on Showtime.

The original UK series or the half-assed American remake?

(Only joking, I have no opinion on the US version as not seen it... heard it is better than most remakes though).

How is the UK series? I'll have to check out the UK series. If it is as raunchy and funny as the US one, I gotta get it.

The only problem...I can't understand that foreign language you speak over there.

Apparently the us version is toned down quite a bit compared to UK. It might also interest you to know we have this on normal TV (no HBO etc etc). It's on one of the free channels.

That's really great Sam - I remember a time before there was such a thing as pay TV,

I won't pay for cable or satellite so, unless I hear about a show from someone, I have no idea what's good or not.
