Pete, in all seriousness, could it be a joke? I just don't want you to be disappointed, but you're talking about a very up-to-date and generously configured piece of kit there. I'd expect to pay £250-£300 for that, so you're surely looking at what? $500? That's a lot of cash. Even second-hand it carries a lot of value. Are you sure you have the right spec? The Satellite brand name has been around for years.

Do you actually know your benefactor? I mean, as a personal friend you have met, not someone online. I wish I didn't have to sound so cynical, but I would be very suspicious of their intentions. Boxes of DVDs that quickly lose their value anyway are one thing, but I couldn't afford to even think about buying something like this even for someone close. I wish I could, believe me!

I apologise if it sounds like I'm pouring cold water on this and I hope I'm merely a cynical old bugger! Boundless generosity though just makes me paranoid...

I only know this person from online. But this person has proven to be very generous and anything this person told me has always been 100% true... so I am not worried.

They gave me a tracking number.... the package is in Kentucky right now. And is coming 2nd day air (and requires a signature on delivery). So I will know for sure here in a couple days.

Yeah I would think so as well. But more importantly... this person has earned my trust and respect. Of course they never sent me anything this big before. But I don't believe they would tell me the computer make and model number and it all be a joke. I just don't believe this person would do that.

Thanks... I am so looking forward to it! So much so that what is the first thing I did when I woke up? Of course... tracked the package. And to my delight... what do I see?...

  Not yet... way to early! both the mail lady and the UPS truck usually don't get to me till the afternoon. And now that it is getting so close to the holidays they are running even slower.
