OK... I am thinking of watching a movie serial tomorrow (2/25)... I have 6 serials in my collection right now that I have never seen.... so I would like to get some suggestions from the classic fans here. Should I watch...
The Painted Stallion:
An American agent, Clark Stuart, is dispatched to Santa Fe to negotiate a trade agreement with the newly appointed Mexican governor. The former Governor, Alfredo Duprey, plots to sabotage the traety by substituting one of his own men for Stuart, At the same time, a wagon train bearing goods for trade is nearing Santa Fe. Duprey's men plan to attack it, but Clark Stuart aided by Jim Bowie, Kit Carson, and Davy Crockett saves the day.
Flash Gordon: Space Soldiers: Conquer the Universe:
Flash Gordon (Buster Crabbe), Dale Arden (Carol Hughes) and Dr. Zarkov must once again go to the planet Mongo and fight the evil emperor Ming (Charles Middleton) in this third of the Flash Gordon serials. Tracing the source of the "Purple Death" to Mongo, our group of adventurers flies to there in Dr. Zarkov's rocket where they discover that Emperor Ming, whom they believed had been killed at the end of their last battle is still alive. He is threatening to not only conquer all of Mongo, but also is attacking Earth again, using a "Death Dust" spread by his spaceships that will eventually destroy everyone on Earth. Old allies and new assist Flash in stopping Ming's efforts and saving the Earth.
The Green Archer:
The struggle over a family estate ends up with one brother accused of murder and apparently killed on the way to prison, while the other brother takes control of the estate for his own nefarious plans. The estate is being used by the evil brother as a base for his jewelry theft ring and he kidnaps his brother's wife to keep things quiet. Will the efforts of the woman's family be successful in freeing her and what does the mysterious Green Archer have to do with solving this case?
Radar Men from the Moon:
Strategic targets on Earth are being destroyed by an unknown weapon. Government security head Henderson suspects it's an "atomic ray" originating from the moon! He assigns Commando Cody, scientist and man of action with a secret flying suit, to investigate. Soon, Cody is battling Earth thugs in the pay of Krog the moon man and making trips in his experimental rocket to the moon itself, in a perilous and all but singlehanded effort to thwart the planned invasion of Earth.
Undersea Kingdom:
Crash Corrigan, a recent graduate of Annapolis, and Diana, a go-getting reporter, join Professor Norton for a search for the source of a string of earthquakes, Atlantis. They ride Prof. Norton's rocket submarine searching the sea and little Billy Norton, the professor's son stows away, of course. When they find Atlantis they are caught in a war between peaceful Atlanteans, note their white capes, and war-monging Atlanteans, note their black capes. After many harrowing moments for Crash, Diana, Prof. Norton and Billy, they barely get away with their lives when they escape a tower of Atlantis raised to the surface for the sole purpose of dominating or destroying the Earth
Phantom Creeps:
THE PHANTOM CREEPS stars Bela Lugosi in this 12 episode cliffhanger series about a mad scientist, and his crazy devices, searching for his missing box which contains the ingredients to make him the most powerful man in the world.
