The Debt

I think I first saw a trailer for The Debt sometime in 2010.  The release of the movie got pushed back for whatever reason and then it took a few more weeks for the theater here to get the movie.

Things jump back and forth between two time periods, 1966 and 1997.  The same main three characters, who are sent to Berlin on a secret mission in 1966 figure in to both time periods.  Things happening in both years are sort of intermingled, but it is easy to keep track of what is going on.  The plot is interesting and there are a few surprises that kept me guessing.

The characters are interesting, though the development could have been a bit better.  The cast is really good.  Helen Mirren is great in her part as the older Rachel.

Some scenes move a little slower, but I was never bored by what was going on.  The slower pace works for those scenes.

Overall I really enjoyed the movie.

I did get a review posted on Epinions if anyone would like to take a look.
