Looks like Willis has used his power to get Max Payne director John Moore in the chair:

Well, maybe they will factor in his age, similar to what The Expendables or RED did. In which case I think it could be fun.

Although I am not sure getting the director of Max Payne is such a great idea. It's not like that film set the box office on fire...

Hmm...ok.
Well I'll more than likely see it if it gets made since I've liked the other Die Hard movies.  They need another really good villain..though it is pretty much impossible to top Hans Gruber.

The official title and release date announced...

A Good Day to Die Hard
February 14th 2013.

Don't know if I like the title or not.

Close, but he'll be getting his son out of a Russian prison, turning the affair into a terrorist threat.

Seemingly the shortlist for his son is Ben Foster (3:10 to Yuma), Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad), Paul Dano (There Will Be Blood) and Milo Ventimiglia (Heroes):

Out of those, I would hope for Foster. Dano is a great actor but I can't see this being the sort of role for him.

The Klingons are the Space Russians. Wink

Hmmm....ok.
Well, John getting into dangerous situations because of his family has happened before..sort of fits for the character and gives him more motivation.

Yeah, but the point is almost well and truly lost now. Part 4 was too much really, but it was fun and could have been vindicated if the new one was stripped right back to a basic, cop out of his depth, trapped in a claustrophobic environment. Russian prisons? Really? That's the exact sort of plot Die Hard was such a breath of fresh air against.

I agree. Involving Russia in some way makes it sound like every 80's action movie Die Hard wasn't. I did enjoy the fourth, so look forward to this one too.

Maybe the plot isn't right yet either.

The role of McClane Jr. is now down to - Aaron Paul, James Badge Dale, D.J. Cotrona and Liam Hemsworth.
