Hey everyone...
I am back. We had some damage. plus we lost the internet, phone and cable TV yesterday afternoon. But hey... at least we still had electricity... so I was still able to watch some DVDs. :) The cable/phone/net came back about half an hour ago. But we are all still here and in one piece.

This would have been the perfect week-end to watch "Me, Myself and Irene"...............why didn't I think of that before

Can you believe that while we were nervous for Pete the hurricane hit my birthplace....

Of course it's the rain from the hurricane.

As you know this is where I was on vacation less than a week ago :(

Sorry the link is in french but there are some pictures

I have a couple of familly members (an aunt and my mother's aunt I worked for last month) who live in the isolated sector of Petit-Saguenay but I'm sure everybody is ok. Also the dammage happen where the garage of one of my uncle is (I saw it on the news), hope he won't lost it as a lot of stuff is stocked there (I'm sure nothing is insured as this is a flood designated area). I'll try to call my mother tomorrow...

Edit : Just called my mother and everybody is allright. The dammages on the road (at Petit Saguenay) is worst that it was when we were flooded in 94, but it's not the river just an old stream that have burst (for now if it doesn't rain more in the next days as the river is very high).

100 mm (4 inches) of rain fell last night on the village

Sending all my thoughts and prayers to them, Jimmy!

I have a sister in NW New Jersey.  They live on a lake which has completely engulfed their back yard.  Fortunately, it didn't get high enough to get into the house!

I've edited my post before your reply and everything (at least for my familly) is safe for now :)
