Seemingly, Paramount are hiring writers for a Top Gun sequel. What does everyone think should happen in a sequel?

This is one movie I can't see as a sequel.

Of course they could have art imitate life and have the female lead become a lesbian!

Are they serious? 

Can we expect a sequel for Red Dawn, Invasion U.S.A. or If Footmen Tire You, What Will Horses Do? as their subject are as outdated than Top Gun is?

I sequel to Top Gun after this long?  Unhuh...not sure how that will work since there hasn't been any other movies with the characters since.
Hmm...Maverick and Ice Man are instructors now?  Their kids are rivals?  What?
