I really hate 3rd person games, so God alon knows why I'm playing (and getting frustrated with) Uncharted 2.

:headscratch: Well, then stop. ;) If your dislike is based in the "genre" of the game, there really isn't much that can be done. And you can be sure, that won't change between where you are now and the end of the game

Personally I don't really mind either way. I loved Uncharted 1 & 2 and currently enjoy Mass Effect 2. I am less interested in standard first person shooters (CoD and clones) these days, but if it's mixed with something else, e.g. RPG elements like Fallout, can still go for it. But yes, I own Killzone 3 and Crysis 2, one of which I will play after mass Effect 2.

I'm enjoying the story for Unchartered 2, which is why I'm still playing it. GTA IV, I stopped playing as I found it tedious after the first couple of times of beating up some random stranger and getting chased by the police.

I should expand, and say that I'm getting frustrated with certain parts as I have occaisionaly misjudged distance/angles of jumps and died or gotted stuck somewhere and can't climb out.

Have you tried Borderlands?

My copy just arrived yesterday. Any good? I was never absolutely bothered and then Play.com had it for pennies.

Well, 399 pennies, but still... ;)

When I was playing it on my 360, I really enjoyed it and had progressed quite far through it, but since I sold my 360 and concentrated just on PS3 I can't seem to get the enthusiasm to go through it all again.

I would give it a solid 7.5/10

I loved Borderlands! Still have to complete the final DLC...

I'd give it a similar rating. There is no deep story to write home about and gameplay tends to be somewhat repetitive, but having "millions of guns" at your disposal makes for awesome gameplay  And the dialog is extremely funny, too.

At sometime I ended up falling behind the level-up process, meaning the missions began being lower level than my character. Somehow that stops me from getting real good weapons now.

EDIT:
Finally finished my first playthrough of Mass Effect 2! Great game. As previously mentioned, I had a bit trouble getting into the combat (my character was a vanguard), but eventually got into it more. Next up: Insanity. :fingerchew:

The interwebs are not very clear which should be the most efficient class to be used for Insanity. I see Soldier, Infiltrator and Sentinel mentioned the most. Sure, it depends on personal style a lot too, but there was about 5-10 battles/boss fights that could prove very painful in Insanity...

I think I'm developing an unhealthy obsession with Dragon Age ...

I just finished Dragon Age II for the second time yesterday ... now what do I fee like doing? I'm playing Dragon Age: Origins again!! And already planning to carry on into Dragon Age II .. both as a mage.

I'm still not sure about getting Portal 2 ... at the very least, I know I'm not getting it at 45$

Najemikon

Well, price is certainly one thing, but have you played the first one?

Dragonfire

One of these days, I'll start playing Bioshock again.  So far I'm just plugging away at World of Warcraft still.

I am about to wrap up my second playthrough for Mass Effect 2. On Veteran he (Shepherd) was a Vanguard, this time I played on Insanity difficulty with a female Infiltrator. I am tempted to have another round as Sentinel or Adept, with Casual setting. The first two times I made all team members loyal so they would survive and I can transfer the characters to Mass Effect 3. In the next playthrough I would only do the basic missions and then have everyone die  (seriously, I want to see what that looks like; without resorting to YouTube).

I have Portal 2; the PS3 version which I can link to Steam as soon as PSN comes back online (has been off since Thursday).

Should I finish Portal first, before beginning the sequel? (I was about half through when I last played.)

Najemikon

Absolutely you should play through Portal first! For one, it is a wonderful game that deserves your attention. Second, the puzzles in Portal 2 so far seem easy enough, but they still respect a veteran, with fun touches only someone who has played the first one will pick up on. And finally, the story simply follows on. It isn't a story based game, but it's still there.

I literally panicked when that happened to me. On my first playthrough, everybody had survived, then when I played it again, without reading too much, and decided to just do basic missions and then some party members died .. I was so shocked!
Actually, on the second playthrough, Shepard himself died!!
