Can this be done?

Quite often I want to buy a movie after reading someone's review. Since I want to support this site would it be possible to add a purchase tick box to the review so that I can directly buy it?

DSig

Would be a great feature

I think that would be hard to do. The link won't necessary go the DVD reviewed and it will need to be done by each reviewer manually after the review (call me lazy but I don't want to do that ).

But the Amazon bar link is always visible on each page... unless you don't see it Kathy?

edit : Of course some of us review stuff who aren't available at Amazon sometimes... but in those case just ask I'm always happy to help people watch something else than studio CGI boringfest...

I use the amazon and amazonuk bar all the time. What can I say, I'm lazy.  :bag:

I was hoping, computer genius that he is, this would something he could implement easily. It has to be easier than some of the other helpful plug-ins he's developed.

I have the links for some of your favorite sites Jimmy but I like to order studio CGI boringfest movies too!  :tease:

I'll try to do an effort Kathy ;D
But I don't review that much anymore :bag:

Of course october is the month where I write a ton of reviews ;D

This is what I first read
I have a collection.
It can be found here.
No need to check it often.
I update it only twice a year!

That would be very out of character for me :hysterical:

... at least here as I'm more aggressive on some other forums

Just playing a little bit and found that doing a search should work with this

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_c_0_9?url=search-alias%3Dmovies-tv&field-keywords=alice+wonderland

replacing ALICE and WONDERLAND with any dvd title info you want.  This appears to always get you very close.

Since it appears that most review gets some info from Invelos, picture etc, it *should be possible* to get the title that way to develop a link.

Of course it would be simplest to just add to the review as I think I will start doing until a change can be made.

But consider, that Sébastien asked us not to put the title as a link in the reviews, because it makes it bothersome for him to copy/paste it for the review list. Better would be to add a link below the title in the reviews.

Dragonfire

What if the title is in normal text at the beginning of the review and then the link going to Amazon was at the end of the review?  Or is it just that a link is in the review at all that causes a problem?
That is how I already do it to have links to my reviews at Epinions..no one ever said it caused a problem.

Tom

Only if the title itself in the beginning is a link, it will cause problems. Because then when the title is copied to Excel, where Sébastien tracks the reviews, it will be copied including the link information.

Dragonfire

Ok.
Then it should be ok if the link at the end of the review then.
