Hmm I suppose that does make sense. I know that many Asian countries do have an average height which is shorter than some Western countries.

Although I still don't understand why a mistake made in 1903 still hasn't been changed and it's now 2010.

I guarantee you that if some country out there could field a professional team that had an honest to goodness chance of beating our teams here, they'd set up a match instantly. It would only mean more money for these greedy bastards.

Oh well I suppose it will just never sit right with me, in the same way that the chilli cookoff I mentioned doesn't seem right. If you win a nation-wide competition here then you are 'Best in Australia' the same as many other countries. I don't like the whole idea of 'if you are best in the US, you are best in the world'. The rest of the countries are still out there.

At any rate, I found the broadcast very interesting and enjoyed it a great deal.  During the broadcast, I found that the game has also been issued on DVD by A&E so I've ordered a copy though (for some reason) this is one of those titles that will take awhile to arrive.  Delivery is estimated at 2-5 weeks.  The game was done via kinescope...meaning someone filmed it off of a television screen.  The game was broadcast in color...but the TV it was filmed from was a black & white set so the footage was in black & white.
